I watched my image in the mirror as I was shaving. As my hands gently swiped razor blades along the jaw, cold demonic eyes followed my every step.

What's going on?

Why did I agree to sign an additional contract, that forces this operation to be strictly professional?

Lost in my thoughts, I forget the sharpness of the blade. A sudden streak blinded my reflection, and fresh blood flowing through freshly cut made me curse. I grabbed the antifectant next to me and pat a fresh cut on my cheek.

Someone knocked on the door.

"Boss, it's time to go to the Solcnevs," Elijah exclaimed outside the door.

I scraped off the stinging wound and got dressed. I walked out of the bathroom and crossed the room where Elijah was standing. The guy was following me to the side corridor of the headquarters.

"Wait in the car, I have to talk to Oliver," I hurriedly yelled to Elijah and crossed the corridor.

Elijah nodded and walked up to the garage. I walked towards the stairs leading to the basement. When I reached the door, I burst into the room. The screens flashed, and the blonde guy sitting along them barely lifted his face from the keyboard. His eyes flashed among the abundance of information on computers. I smirked at the guy's side.

"Oliver. I hope you have good news for me."

The sleepy guy, caught in fright, smirked at my voice, but when he saw the seriousness in my eyes, he got up.

"Yes, boss, I have some good news. First of all, you asked to find out the whereabouts of Marcellus. He was first spotted in New York a good month ago."

"Move on."

"I can confirm, that the man didn't come alone. He did not use any public transport, wasn't spotted anywhere in public, and flew by private jet. I can't say for sure, but it looks like someone is hiding his footsteps."

"Good, anything else?"

Oliver nodded reluctantly. I leaned back in my chair and clasped my cheeks with my hands.

"We tried to infiltrate our informant into their ranks, but that guy was unlucky, poor Samuel. We found his mutilated body just as we tried to get into their weapons depot. As I said, their whereabouts are constantly changing —they seem to want to go unnoticed. However, according to the latest data, their headquarters would be located in the Bronx."

I wrinkled my lips.

The Bronx was famous as New York's main hole, characterized by an abundance of drugs, crime, and escorts. Setting up headquarters in this part of the city was foolish due to the constant storming of police and warehouses and the search of industrial buildings.
