A/N: I'm back!!! So, Season 4 will be the last arc for this book because, after this chapter, I'll be covering their senior year. Also, for their college years, I want to start a separate book.
Seven months have passed since Stella's wedding, and right now, Clover is home with her mother and new stepfather, unpacking baby clothes.
"Ok, Clover, did you make sure you called out for the week for your job?" Hal asks, stuffing a bag with diapers, snacks, and a little rattle.
"I did, Dad. I won't be disappearing to work anytime soon," Clover replies, opening the last box of diapers.
"Oh, Hal, leave her alone. If she says she clocked out of work, then she did. Can you make me another oyster ice cream sundae?" Stella groans, rubbing her stomach.
"Sure thing, Honey," Hal says, opening the freezer. "We're out of oysters. I'll have to go to the grocery store."
"Ok, just make sure to hurry back," Stella groans, lying on the couch.
Clover had never seen her mother in such a state. Usually, she'd be energetic and ready to go, but as her pregnancy progressed, she suffered from extreme fatigue.
"Mom, let me get you a pillow," Clover says, running to her mother's room.
"Oh, sweetie, it's ok. I can get it," Stella says, struggling to get up. "You shouldn't be running around trying to help your mother like I'm in a nursing home."
The minute Stella stands up, her water breaks.
"Why now?! I didn't even get to eat my lunch!" Stella cries, looking at her wet overalls.
"Oh-Oh, my God! I will call Dad, and where is the baby bag?" Clover panics, looking for the bag in the mess of boxes.
"Clover, sweetie, it's ok. I've done this once before. The bag is on top of the Pampers box, and can you hand me my Stanley cup?" Stella replies, walking to Clover.
"Stella, they got a big sale on oysters! I got you some to last for two week-your water broke, didn't it?" Hal questions, looking at Stella and the floor.
"Yep. Come on, you can drive. Clover's got the bag and my Stanley cup," Stella replies, walking to the door with Hal.
"Mom, here! I got the bag and your Stanley!" Clover rambles, holding a pink bag of her own.
The family piles into the car and drives to the hospital.
"Ok, Clover, you get your mother a wheelchair, and I'll take care of the rest," Hal says, parking the car.
"Ok!" Clover exclaims, rushing out of the car and getting a wheelchair.
