Virginia and Bucky were lying in the living room, cuddled up under two blankets and curled together looking at a book that Virginia had in her hands. Well, more, she was reading the book and thought Bucky was as well.
Bucky, in fact, was looking at Virginia. He was looking at every little detail on Virginia's face. From the freckles she had lightly brushed her nose so softly that one might not notice it if they were looking for it.
He looked at the way her glasses sat on her nose so snuggly that they left little red marks where the plastic sat on the bridge of her nose or the way she would jump a little bit every time she thought someone was walking in the room, and she would on instinct try to get away from Bucky to keep their secret.
He would laugh every time and she would mock him, annoyed by his antics. His antics would actually make her guts flutter and force her to try and force a blush off her cheeks and try to hide it from Bucky.
She always thought that she had succeeded.
She never did.
"Did you finish the page already?" She asked for what felt like the thirtieth time once she finished the page. Virginia really did think he was reading Wuthering Heights, along with her. She looked up to him and was slightly surprised to find that he was already looking at her,
"Mm-hmm," Bucky nodded and pulled Ginny on top of him so they were even closer,
"You're a fast reader," Virginia hummed and snuggled against his chest. The book already lay forgotten next to them on the couch threatening to fall on the floor. Her hands lay flat on his muscular chest through his thin shirt,
"Maybe, I am," Bucky ran his fingers through Virginia's short dark hair, "Maybe I'm not," He whispered menacingly in her ear so quietly it sent shivers through Virginia despite already being under blankets, having on a sweater, being cuddled again a human heater, and it being summer already.
"Bucky?" Steve's voice called as his footsteps approached the couple. Both of them let out a long stream of swears, as Virginia jumped and tried to climb off Bucky quickly and quietly, but only successfully fell on the floor with a flood.
Bucky was left to hold back a laugh as she tried to scramble to her feet in a tangle of blankets. All efforts were in vain though, as Steve walked into the room just as Ginny fell again.
Bucky's eyes widened and he looked at Steve like a deer in headlights. You might have been able to smell his panic from a mile away. On the other hand, Virginia's acting skills were good enough to get them an Oscar.
She put on an irritated expression and glared at Bucky,
"Did you see that, Steve?" She hissed, Steve shook his head in confusion as he watched the scene in front of him,
"No," Steve's voice sounded strained as if he was trying not to laugh.
"The little bugger tripped me," Virginia hissed, still glaring at Bucky. Bucky caught on and scowled back at her,
"I did not," He hissed, Steve sighed knowing an argument was unfolding in front of him and he had no way of stopping it. Steve turned on his heel and walked out of the large room,

The sun was setting and Virginia held a bag of home-cooked food in her arms. Bucky stood next to her, holding a bottle of wine. They were both dressed nicely. Bucky was wearing a white shirt and jeans along with a jean jacket, and Virginia was wearing a knee-length light red dress with white flowers covering it.
