It wasn't long before they all found themselves back in the quinjet waiting to land in Russia for what they all thought was going to be the final HYDRA mission. Virginia stood in the cockpit behind Natasha while Clint was next to them, but honestly, Nat was doing all the work.
Clint had fallen asleep pretty quickly into the flight, which was nice since Virginia and Natasha could then talk about each of their relationships.
"I knew it!" Ginny exclaimed excitedly, "I knew it from the beginning. I edged him to ask you sooner,"
"Yeah, yeah," Natasha sighed, knowing that this speech would come right away once the other woman found out. Before Virginia could continue her rant, both Steve and Bucky came in. Both women looked at their partners and smiled.
"I just told her," Nat told Steve smiling widely still,
"Told her what?" Bucky asked gruffly. Virginia grinned and coughed to hide her wide smile and laugh at how Bucky responded. Ginny swore that she saw Natasha smirk a bit as well,
"That we are a couple," Steve mumbled, almost sounding embarrassed,
"What was that?" Bucky grinned, though he had heard what Steve said. Both Natasha and Virginia laughed a bit at how unusually uncomfortable Steve was, Virginia almost got washed over with a wave of nostalgia.
"Shut up, punk," Steve grumbled, making the other three laugh loudly again. Virginia looked up at Bucky and their eyes locked. They smiled at each other, softly, simply wanting to go over and be open about their relationship, but before they could silently agree to tell Steve, Clint woke up and they all fell silent.
"We are landing soon," Natasha eventually said, breaking the silence.

Bucky and Virginia made their way into the base, holding their guns out as if waiting for someone to jump out at them. Coms were quiet, but not failing. Nothing was going on, it was almost eerie. Every little sound from air rattling through the vents to the other's footsteps, would make them jump.
The hallways they went down had few doors and every one led to an empty room with chains hanging from the ceiling but void of any other objects. Chains would dangle creepily and move despite no wind.
No matter what, No matter the many reasons to think that the base section was vacant, the couple both held their guns high ready to protect and fight. And despite the emptiness, each room sent more panic and stress into each of their brains.
Then came the fifth door. Virginia kicked it open and it swung open easily. Faster than expected, and it hit the wall so strongly, that they were both sure that there would forever be a dent in the wall, making them jump. Again this room had chains, but this one had a light in the back that led the duo closer and closer.
The two held their guns close, and they kept glancing at each other. When they got to the source of the light they found a computer that looked like it had technology that was from the 1970s. The computer had nothing on it, but a tab that simply said "Download complete. You are welcome."
Virginia saw a flash drive sticking out the side of the chunky screen and looked at it then at Bucky, then back again.
"That's a little suspicious," Bucky said deeply and honestly looking between the woman and tech as she snatched it,
"I don't know if it's weirder that it looks like current-day flash drives or that it was meant for us to take," Virginia hissed in a voice deeper than her own as she twisted the plastic between her fingers.
"Just take it, and we'll get out of here," Bucky grabbed her upper arm and dragged her out of the room.

After a mission, the jet back would often be filled with chatter and laughter, but after this specific mission, you could hear a pin drop. It certainly didn't help that 13 unknown women were standing around.
To explain, Natasha and Steve had found these women in cells. They were the following attempts after Natasha to make a Black Widow. Most of them seemed pretty quiet. Probably because they were raised in hell and that's all they know.
But, there were two of the women that were talking. One is a blonde. She was drop-dead gorgeous and spoke English well but with a strong Russian accent. She was maybe an inch or two shorter than Virginia, but she stood tall as if she ran the world. She seemed snide, and she matched Tony's energy. She seemed close to Natasha, but they bickered. A lot. Her name was Yelena.
The other woman was tall, maybe 5 '11, and skinny, strangely skinny. She had long black hair and a shallow face. She honestly looked like a skeleton. She had plump lips and beady black eyes that might have scared anyone to hell. Though when she laughed and spoke she seemed like an angel that could do no wrong. She seemed strangely familiar to Virginia, almost like she had met her before.
She said her name was Vedia.
Ginny didn't trust or like Vedia.
