This chapter will be a little dull at the beginning but it will get better, it is just a transition chapter for the most part, Sorry!

The months following were difficult for Steve and Bucky. Neither one of them could bring themselves into her room to clean it out. It felt like a part of their hearts was just torn away and thrown into the trash like the soup Virginia made the day before she left.

Bucky kept his promise until he was drafted into the war in 1943 as Sergeant James Barnes. He was assigned to the 107th; the same unit Virginia was nursing. And only days after he left Steve went to a bout camp in New Jersey. Of which he left early to get the super soldier serum. The man who gave it to him was Virginia's old boss; Howard Stark. Steve and Bucky had always teased Virginia about working for a Playboy.

He became what Colonel Phillips liked to call a 'chorus girl' or in reality, an actor who went around and promoted joining the army. This only taunted Steve's Patriotism; the love for his country. But he had to listen to the men in charge. Steve became a 'show boy.' Well, he did until he found out that more than 75% of the 107th was missing, including Bucky.

Steve, who had lost so much in his short life, could not handle the idea of Bucky, his only best friend still alive, being dead. He convinced Howard Stark and Agent Peggy Carter  (Whom he had a small crush on because his love for Virginia had faded after her death)  to help him across enemy lines and get as many men back to the safety of the camp, which is run by the allies.

Steve, who is now comfortable in his almost one-foot taller body, completely alone infiltrated one of the biggest HYDRA (A unit of nazi) bases. He was able to save hundreds of men, including Bucky. Over a short period of time, the Howling Commandos were formed. They included Steve (Captain America), Bucky, and a group of men that Bucky had led before the 107th was taken captive. The Howling Commandos were successful at infiltrating over 100 HYDRA bases. This was until their loss in 1945 when they were Breaking onto a HYDRA-owned train to take Arum Zola prisoner of war. In a complete accident, Bucky had fallen off the train and into the deep valley below. Killing him, made Steve more than angry.

About a week later, Zola told Philps Where Red Skull was hiding. A huge section of the United States army was sent to take them out. Steve chased after Red Skull alone but only caught up with the help of Peggy and Philps. Right before Steve climbed onto the Jet, Peggy kissed him.

Once on the Jet, Steve took out Red Skull but had to crash the plane, sacrificing himself.

Once Steve woke up in 2011, he was more than bewildered. As much as he did not want to leave Peggy behind in the past he did not want to suffer through life without his best friends.

Bucky and Virginia were his little secret, no other Avenger knew about them. Even Natasha, Steve, and Natasha had grown close over the months since the battle of New York. But neither of them would go as far as to say they were best friends.

He could never be her best friend for many reasons, 1 : she didn't trust him, two: she lied, three: you can't have a female best friend without falling in love with her, and four: she wasn't Virginia

April 14, 2014

Nick Fury was dead. The man of secrets was dead. And Steve watched it happen. As Natasha left the room to hide the tears brimming in her eyes Steve watched in horror. It was true, he never trusted Fury, but he was a good man with his heart in the right place.

Steve clenched his pocket. The hard drive that Fury had given him right before he died, was lingering in the back of his mind no matter how hard he tried to push it away. Trust no one. Why the hell was Nick Fury telling him to trust no one? And what was the deal with SHIELD being compromised? By who?
