Taylor and Ben chatted down the halls. They laughed. Ben had taken a liking to Taylor. She was sweet as sugar and as tough as nails. She was super funny too!

And....

She didn't ask why he never talked. She was respectful of that. That just made him like her even more.

"So, Ben, how come you came here?"

Ben raised an eyebrow. "What?" He signed.

"You're not originally from this kingdom. How come you came here?" Taylor asked.

Ben flinched. "Ah um...just my studies. My parents thought I could learn more here than at home."

Taylor hummed. "That's sorta odd is it not? Your kingdoms a lot more active than ours."

Ben looked away. "Yeah, but they thought it would be better here."

He felt bad for lying, but what choice did he have really? He didn't want her....to know about it.

About that.

Taylor hummed. She grunted, bumping into Tyler's. "Hey watch where your—oh Tyler. Watch where you're going."

Tyler looked at her, dumbfounded. "Excuse you? Dear sister of mine, what the hell are you even doing here?"

"Work," Taylor crossed her arms.

Tyler crossed his arms, staring her down. "Right, and does Logan know that your work consists of you prowling around with the prince?"

"I'm not prowling."

"Your prowling."

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

"Am not!"

"Are!"

"Not!"

"Are!"

"Not!"

"Areeeeeeee!"

"Nooooooot!"

"Are, are, are."

"Not, not, not!"

"God what is this a god damn nursery book? You are! Speaking of—where is Logan anyways?" Tyler looked around, looking for his friend.

Taylor hummed. She looked away sheepishly. "Doing the actual work...."

"I knew it."

"Shut up! You're so annoying!"

"You love me! I'm your brother you love meeeeee!"

Taylor grunted. Ben chuckled as he watched the two argue. He had never seen Tyler this lively before. It was quite funny.

Logan sighed and grunted angrily as he walked the palace halls, the final crates in hands.

He was going to kill Taylor for ditching him with the prince.

He stumbled, losing balance. "Waah!"

"Careful!"

Ashlyn ran over, helping lift up the crates. Logan sighed. "Thanks ash..."

Ashlyn gulped awkwardly. "Ah um...no problem."

Logan sighed as he and Ashlyn brought the crates in. They set them down. Logan sighed.
"Ashlyn..."

"Nope. No."

"Ash..! You haven't come to visit or see me at all, which isn't like you. Are you sure there's nothing wrong?"

"I'm sure!"

"Is this about that thing in the woods? If it is, I'm sure we can find a way—"

"No! Logan I'm fine."

"I'm worried, Ashlyn. Your...distant. A lot more than normal."

Ashlyn sighed. "I'm...im real sorry Lo. That I have t come to visit more. I've just been....busy."

"With what?"

"Um...knight stuff. You don't need to worry about it, ok?"

Logan slumped. He nodded.

"So, how's Taylor? Is she ok?"

"Taylor's fine. Still a slacker though."

Ashlyn chuckled. "Never quite outgrew that phase?"

"No she did not," Logan laughed. He smiled fondly at Ashlyn. "I've missed you. A lot Ash."

Ashlyn sighed. "Yeah..me too."

Logan whapped her with a cloth. "Visit more!"

Ashlyn chuckled. "Ow! No violence!"

"Yes! Violence is always the answer!"

"No it's the result—the action—"

"Is leaking their private info to the public!"

"Attaboy. I've taught you well."

Logan and Ashlyn laughed. God. Why hadn't they hung out more?

Ah right.

Because of that incident.

Aiden hummed, listening in from behind one of the corridors. Maybe....

Yeah.

This could be fun.
