Chapter 33: The cave

The base had taken only a few seconds to turn to utter chaos. People ran around, screaming and panicked. That's it. They were dead. They were so dead.

A year in hiding and they had been found.

Ashlyn tried to get them under control. They couldn't afford to panic now. There was too much on the line! But they ran past her, deeper into the dark. Ashlyn cursed.

"Ashlyn!" Taylor yelled. She yanked Ashlyn over to the side, making sure she wouldn't get trampled or caught in the crowds.

Ben yanked Logan away from the crowds, grabbing some kids to make sure they weren't trampled by the frantic crowds. Tyler yanked Aiden away, much to Aiden's dismay.

Phantoms poured in from all directions. Ashlyn looked around, panicked.

Then, she saw it. The cave entrance.

"GUYS GO GO GO GO!" She yelled, running towards the entrance. They ran, following after her.

They all breathed a sigh of relief as soon as they got in, but it was short lived. The cave entrance collapsed.

And Ashlyn saw black.
