Logan sighed as he walked down the cave walls. He was irritated, agitated, and all of the above. But mostly, he was scared. How could they have been found? And so quickly too...

It didn't make any sense to him.

Logan flinched as heard the sound of fire behind him. Whipping around, he saw Aiden. Holding a log in hand, fire at the end of it. He relaxed.

"What?" Aiden asked. "We need to see."

"Yeah I know. You just scared me." Logan sighed.

The two continued to walk in silence. If Logan was being totally honest, he never knew what to talk about with the boy. Aiden was always so,,,different from him. And the others. They never really had a moment alone together.

Not that Logan minded. Aiden seemed nice. Crazy, but nice. Aiden hummed to himself as they walked.

Aiden was intrigued by Logan a bit. Don't get him wrong, Logan could be pretty burning. But he didn't know. There was a sense of mystery to him that none of the others had. A puzzle.

And Aiden loved solving them.

Eventually, they came to a dead end. Logan groaned.
"We're never getting out of here..." He grumbled.
"Sure we are!" Aiden smiled. "Just gotta move some rocks."

"Aiden," Logan said, deadpanned. "None of us are strong enough to do that."
"Maybe we're not. Maybe we are. It's worth the risk, no?" Aiden asked, grinning like the Cheshire Cat.

Logan groaned. "Aiden, that's not how science works..."
"It's how my science works!"
"I mean.." Logan looked back to the rocks blocking their exit. "We don't even know what's on the other side."
"It's worth the risk, isn't it?" Aiden grinned. Logan stiffened. Risks. That's something he didn't like to take....

But maybe?

Logan sighed. "Fine. But if this goes wrong, I'm blaming you, got it?"

Aiden whooped. "Alright! Now first, we're gonna need gunpowder. And a lot of it."

"Where are we gonna..." Logan paused, realizing they were in a cave. Filled with flammable things. He realized what Aiden wanted to do. "Oh."

Aiden grinned like a maniac. "Well?"

Logan took a deep breath. "Let's do it."
