Marjorie's Daughter

Chapter 1

A/N: I have made the characters ages a bit different so Marjorie is a bit older and Sorscha is younger, ages of other characters have changed to fit with the story. hope you enjoy this random story, please let me know if it is any good or not.

Driving down the street towards the nursery where my mum works was daunting not because I was scared to see her no me and mum had a wonderful relationship but because where she works nobody knows that she has a child let alone a 24-year-old adult child except my wife who also works at the nursery with her but nobody else does though. I pull into the car park and slowly get out the car, I go to backseats and unbuckle mine and my wife's 4-year-old daughter Masey out, tell her that she needs to hold my hand whilst we walk over to the gate; as I'm about to grab my phone out my pocket to ring my mum the gate at the front is opened and stood there was my wife.

"I saw you get out the car, and I was a spare since most of the children have gone home" my wife Sorcha tell me whilst Macey runs to her screaming "Mummy" Sorscha picks her up and places her on her hip whilst taking my hand; "how are you feeling babe" I hear Sorscha ask me "back pain is terrible but that's normal for this late stage, it wasn't bad when I was pregnant with Macey, but this little one is causing trouble for their mama already" I explain to her whilst rubbing my 8 half month pregnant belly, we head into the building and Sorscha places her hand on my back leading me down the corridors.

We continued down the corridors and I realise that we are heading towards the office that my mum works in, we come to a stop outside the office and I can hear my mum talking to someone, Sorscha knocks on the door and opens the door once we hear a "come in" from my mum, we enter the office and once Macey sees my mum she screams "Hi Nana, we come to see you" my mum looks up in shock hearing her granddaughter scream and I just burst into laughter at her face "hi mum, you okay you looked shock then" I ask her "my darling I didn't expect a visit from you, I thought I was coming around to your house tonight" my mum responds "yeah, well I thought since Macey here has energy to burn and I have to pick up Sorcha, I thought to just come a bit early and see you, if that's okay" I quickly explain whilst rubbing my belly.

"Babe, I need to go back to the room to help them tidy you will be alright here won't you" Sorscha gets my attention I nod my head to her and my mum pipes up saying she's here with me and will get her if anything happens. I sit in the empty chair in front of my mum's desk and Macey runs over to my mum for a cuddle, I feel eyes staring at me and I turn my chair and see another lady sat there with glasses on staring at me like she is trying to figure out why I was here. I quickly realise this is lady is Autumn who my mum and wife talk about sometimes; "hi, I'm Evelyn Doyle but everyone calls me Evie you must be Autumn, my wife and mum have told me a lot about you" I introduce myself to her, all she does is turn to my mum and says "Marjorie, I didn't know you had a daughter and grandchildren, or the fact that she is married to Sorscha".
