Chapter 14

Everyone stayed till five then left saying they will see them tomorrow morning, however nobody got to have a cuddle with the new additions, but everyone didn't mind; Sorscha and Evie cuddled Macey close and said I love you to her saying they will be home tomorrow. Once everyone had left Evie turned to Sorscha "babe we need another car seat" she said now realising they only had one car seat "its fine I will run now to a shop and buy one okay, will you be okay for an hour" Sorscha said to her, "yeah I will be fine just quickly go so you can be back to us quicker" Evie responded "okay ill be back soon" Sorscha said before leaving after giving her wife a quick kiss on the lips, Evie decided to have a nap once Sorscha had left; she checked on Aubrey and little Autumn before sat on the rocker and closed her eyes.

Evie woke up to a cry for next to her and she sat up and saw the Aubrey had woken up and little Autumn was still fast asleep "we are going have to come up with a nickname for you little miss" she says to sleep baby and picked up her crying son and sat down in the rocker and got him latched to her breast and gently rocked him whilst he had his milk and started to sing to him "La la lu, la la lu

Dream on" she finished singing to her son and he unlatched and she burped him before standing up and laid him down next to his sister "sleep now my little star" she whispered before turning her attention to Autumn who had started to fuss, Evie got in the same position and latched little Autumn to her other breast and started to sing to her as well "Lavender's blue, dilly, dilly, lavender's green. "You have a beautiful voice babe" Sorscha says gently not to scare her wife, Evie jumped slightly but not enough to startle the baby in her arms "how long have you been stood there" Evie asked when she saw her wife stood there with both car seats in her hands "only since the second verse" Sorscha says whilst walking over and placing the car seats down on the couch and walked over to Evie and wrapped her arms around her waist "how are out doing babe" Sorscha whispered to her wife "I'm okay, sore but I'm glad our little star and flower are okay" Evie whispers feeling her eyes close in her wife embrace "get some sleep my darling I'll watch the twins okay" whilst slowly walking Evie over to the bed "not the bed, the rocker" Evie says tiredly and Sorscha helps her wife lie down on the rocker and she put the foot rest up so she could be comfortable whilst she slept "love you my beautiful flower" she whispers to her. Sorscha sits on the couch and watches her family sleep, she closes her eyes and sleeps for a bit only waking up when she hears cries coming from the twins, she gets up and changes the twins without waking her wife up.

Once the twins had settled, she goes back to couch, not moving the bassinettes or the twins and goes back to sleep. Sorscha is woken up by the door opening, she looks over and see Evie is awake and breastfeeding the babies; she quickly sees Lizzie walk in "sorry ladies for waking you but I have your discharge papers here for you; you are cleared to leave and babies had past the car seat test" Lizzie explained to them both "thank you for everything" Sorscha says whilst stretching, she looked at the clock and saw it 11pm "I see no reason to keep you here when you have a daughter at home and its Christmas in a few hours so you can surprise your family by coming home" Lizzie says with a smile and leaving the room. "How long you been awake for" Sorscha asks Evie gently taking Aubrey from her when she holds him out to her to take "only 20 minutes or so; you ready to go home" Evie says to Sorscha "yeah let's get sorted to go home" she responds and gently places Aubrey in the bassinette and Evie did the same with little Autumn. It took the couple 2 hours to get sorted, Sorscha grabbed a jumper out of the suitcase for Evie to wear home and went to put the luggage in the boot of the car whilst Evie got the twins dressed in plain outfits but Aubrey had 'I love my mommies' and Autumns had "my mommies are the boss" on the front of the outfits that they got made when Macey was born and into the car seats.
