Chapter 17

Everyone downstairs had noticed that Marjorie and Evie had been upstairs for a while but decided to stay downstairs and wait for them to come back downstairs, after a while they heard movement on the stairs and saw Marjorie come down the stairs and walked into the living room "is she alright mum" Mia asks her mum when she sees her and everyone sees her sigh "look everyone you're going to be patient with Evie, she isn't sleeping much and I don't think its just from having the babies either I think its something to do with her job" Marjorie explains to them and sits down next to Sorscha "darling has she had any phone calls or anything" Marjorie asks her daughter-in-law "yeah she was screaming down the phone yesterday and nearly threw the phone" Sorscha says before getting a knowing look on her face "is she awake" Sorscha asks Marjorie "yeah she's just feeding the twins" Marjorie says and they watch as Sorscha run from the room and up the stairs.

Sorscha runs up to where her wife is and walks into the room and sees her just burping Ottie "why didn't you tell me your publicist was pressing you for details about the twins" Sorscha asks Evie who looks at her with tired eyes "I'm guessing you figured out what the phone calls were about, and I didn't tell you because I'm not giving the idiot any details and have actually fired her yesterday after she rang me again" Evie says and stands up and hands Aubrey to Sorscha and stands up with Ottie in her arms "you want him back" Sorscha asks not sure if Evie was going to be okay with not having him close "you're his mummy, I think the tiredness and the stress from that idiot brought out the over protectiveness more, I'm not comfortable to leave the room without them unless your with them but I think if I'm in the room then people can hold them for a few minutes" Evie explains and gives Sorscha a kiss and they both walk down the stairs and into where their friends were sitting.

Evie walked into the room and felt that overwhelming feeling but tried to push it down, she walked over to Autumn and gently passes her Ottie "don't move, leave the room or kisses on the faces please" she says before handing over the baby to her namesake "I think Ottie wants to meet the person she is named after" she says as Autumn takes her niece for a cuddle for the first time since she was born "I won't move a muscle" Autumn says to her and she nods her head and goes over to Sorscha and gently takes Aubrey and kisses his forehead and slowly walks to Charlotte and slowly hands over her son to her sisters girlfriend "same rules as Autie" she simply says and walks to Sorscha and sits on her lap. Everyone could tell that Evie was on edge so after a couple of minutes both Autumn and Charlotte stood up and placed the twins in the bassinette that was next to the mothers and sit back down "you okay Eve" Mia asks her sister and everyone saw Evie take a breath and nod her head, when they see her relax after having her babies close again "I'm proud of you baby, but I think you need to explain to everyone what you do for work" Sorscha says and everyone looks at Evie and Sorscha but heard Marjorie say "get the popcorn this is going to be fun" from where she is sat.

Evie knew Sorscha was right "really mum" she says to her mum after hearing the comment come from her, she looked and saw everyone looking at her "I know you are all curious to know what I do for work, and all the phone calls and screaming but as you know I work in business" Evie explains and leans back into Sorscha "but I just don't work in business, I own a company" she carries on and hears "what is your company" come from her sister "have you heard of R-corp" she asks the group and it was Autumn who responded "it's the largest Bioengineering company, it was launched 9 years ago but nobody knows who the CEO is and what they look like, it's now worth billions" she was shocked at how much Autumn seemed to know "how do you know so much" she asks the brunette "I love bioengineering and always wanted to go into it but my father wouldn't let me" Autumn explains to everyone but soon everyone turns back to her "why did you ask us if we had heard of it before" Charlotte asks her, she takes a breath before she introduced herself "hi, I'm Evelyn Roberts and I'm the CEO and owner of R-corp" she says and hears multiple gasps from around the room before she heard laughter and looks at her mum and sees her laughing her head off at everyone faces "omg that why you have all them awards in your office" she hears Mia say "yeah I started R-corp when I was 15 years old. I have 2 undergraduate, 2 masters, 1 PhDs and a doctorate I went to university when I was 10 and my parents got me tested when I was 5 and it came back I have a photographic memory and a IQ of 188" she explains to the now stunned group "that's why I'm protective of my babies, I have to be careful who knows me and my family, the press or public don't know anything about me or my family they know me obviously as Mrs Roberts but nothing else and that is the way it stays" she says and glares at everyone until the understood that hell would pay if they blabbed about this to anyone.
