Chapter 19

Life with the twins settled down and Evie was less protective not by much but she could leave the room that is full of people and not panic about anyone going near her babies, the twins were now nearly 2 months old and where developing their little personalities and Evie was running her company from home whilst Sorscha was back at work with Macey going to nursery the routine was working for the family of five but today was a bit different because Evie had to go into her building and would be leaving Aubrey and Ottie at home with Mia and her mum, she was nervous but she had no choice since the person who wants the meeting wanted to meet with her and only her. Evie had just pumped since she was now expressing milk for the twins after breastfeed for 1 whole month and now when it came to feedings she would breastfeed one and the other would be bottled fed but she still fed both when she was on her own but when Sorscha was home it was easier so they can still entertain Macey without her being left out, Evie put the expressed milk in the freezer and made sure that there was enough for the twins even though she was only going to be gone for 2 hours it still made her anxious.

Hearing the door bell ring she rushed to answer the door and opened it to see her mum and sister stood there "come in, the twins have just been fed and changed so they should be okay for a while, there is milk in the freezer I have put instructions on what to do next to the kettle. I also left emergency numbers next to the instructions and my phone will be on so any problems please ring me or Sorscha" Evie got out in one breath grabbing her coat, heels and bag she turned and saw her mum looking at her with an amused face whilst Mia had wide eyes and her jaw was dropped open "you okay Mimi" she asked her sister walking into the living room to say bye to the twins "you look different, a good different but omg I wouldn't recognise you in the street" Mia said to her sister and Evie chuckled because she knew that she looked different, she was wearing a burgundy wrap dress with a pair of black heels and a black coat, her brown hair was in a high ponytail and her makeup was done to perfection "thanks Mimi, mum your in charge and I really need to go so I can come back home quicker, whoever this person is I'm going to actually murder" Evie says and quickly gives them hugs and kisses before leaving and getting into the car that was waiting for her and set of to her company.

Back at the house Mia turned to Marjorie "who the hell was that" she asked her mum, shocked at how different her sister was acting and dressed "that my love is CEO Evie, she is very different to normal Evie" Marjorie said to her eldest daughter and closed the front door and headed towards the living room where her grandchildren were sleeping, Mia grabbed her phone and messaged her sister in-law stating that Evie and CEO Evie where insanely different before putting her phone away and went into the living room to help her mum.

Evie had got to her company and was sat at her desk, she didn't want to be here it was too soon for her to be away from the twins, but whoever this person was is not going to like her by the end of it, she picked up her office phone when it rung "hello" she says and hears her assistants voice "Mrs Roberts Doyle your guest is here" she hears Laura say to her "send them in" she says and puts the phone down and stayed seated at her desk and saw her office door open to reveal a man walking towards "Ahh Mrs Roberts Doyle, you are one hard woman to arrange a meeting with" the man says to her and she looks at him and feel like she knows him but doesn't know where from "well I'm not due back in the office for another 2 weeks but came back for this meeting Mr" she says from where she is seated and watches as the man moves to sit in front of her "Mr Roger Knight, Mrs Robers Doyle" the man Roger says and Evie knows why she recognised him because Siobhan showed her a picture of the man when she started and she knew whatever this was about wouldn't be something she wanted to be involved in "Mr Knight what can I do for you" Evie says straight to the point "straight to the point I like people like that, anyway I was wondering if you would be interested in letting me invest in your company" Roger says to her and she immediately steels her face and waits for him to continue "why would you invest in my company, I'm not looking for investors or even new business partners, especially if I don't know the person or what they do" Evie says sternly and she could tell Roger didn't like her tone but she didn't care "well I wanted to get into something different and thought this would be the best place to start" Roger explains to her "sorry Mr Knight but I won't be letting anyone invest or be a business partner in my company if they have no knowledge of what I do or just for the fun of it, I would say this meeting is over" Evie says and reaches for her phone "Laura, please send in my security to escort Mr Knight out my building" she says into it and a few minutes her security was escorting Roger Knight from her building.
