Chapter 21

Evie looked at the number and felt the twins unlatch so she passed Aubrey to Sorscha to burp and Ottie to her mum to burp whilst fixing her dress she answered the phone "hi" she says and stands up and started to pace whilst on the phone, she knew this was not going to be a fun call for her, "hi Evie" she heard down the phone "what do you want" Evie says into the phone and she knew she was getting funny looks from everyone "now is that anyway to talk to me" she heard down the phone "it's been a long day" she says and continues to pace "it's fine but I need a favour from my favourite person" was all she heard and she looked around the room "Agatha, what can I do for you" she says down the phone to the woman "I need you to talk to Eric" she hears Agatha say down the phone to her and she knew she was either going to want to throttle the boy or scream at him "what has he done now" Evie says with a sigh "he has been doing an apprenticeship at a nursey for construction or something like that but he has been pulled up for ignoring peoples boundaries when they tell him to go away, I have tried talking to him but he doesn't seem to listen" Evie could now see why Agatha had rung her because Eric only seemed to listen to her even after being told by other people "I'll come round tomorrow or pay him a visit at where he works, what nursery is it" she asked pacing still knowing she is getting numerous looks from people even her wife looked confused "the Knight nursery" she heard Agatha say and she pauses in her steps "don't tell him I'm paying him a visit or anything I think my nephew needs a surprise" Evie tells Agatha "thank you, I won't say anything to him, I'll see you in the week we need to have a catch up" Agatha says down the phone and Evie knew she was in need of a catch up with her she saw as a an aunt "yes I will let you know when I'm free, I'll see you in the week bye Agatha" Evie says before hanging up the phone and turns back to the very large group of people in her living room.

Evie new she was about to be bombarded with questions so she quickly held up her hand "before you lot ask any questions I have one for you" she says still holding her hand up to stop people talking "what is the question Evey" she heard her sister ask her "who knows a boy called Eric" she says and is met with groans from mostly everyone who worked at the nursery "what is with the groans" Evie asks the room "he is 17, he also doing an apprenticeship with the nursery but he doesn't understand the word no" Charlotte explains and Evie sees everyone nods their head in agreement with what she said "what do you mean" Evie asks her to explain "well, he tried flirting with Mia and when she said no and to go away he tried pushing, then Carly has told him no numerous occasions and Marjorie and Reece have both talked to him but he doesn't stop" Evie heard Autumn explain and Evie just pinched the bridge of her nose "that boy is going to be sorry he met me" she mumbled under her breath and shook her head.

Marjorie watched her daughter talk on the phone and was confused on how she new the person on the phone and why she seemed to know Eric as well "darling, how do you know Eric" Marjorie asked her daughter and saw Evie look at her "I know Eric due to knowing his mother Agatha, I met Agatha 7 years ago when Eric was 10 he was well behaved back then, Agatha and I met when I hired her as my receptionist and she is one of my best employees" Evie explained to Marjorie and everyone else; Marjorie was not surprised she was close with people at her company, she knew Evie had told her that her company was a family and everyone got along with everyone "okay, so why is Eric going to be sorry he met you" Marjorie asked again and she saw everyone turn to Evie and watched as Evie walked back to her seat "Agatha and I have catch ups when we are both off work, she is like another pseudo aunt like Shibster and Viv are, anyway you can talk to Eric as much as you want but he won't listen to you, Agatha has also talked to him about what you have pulled him up for but he won't listen, so as a last resort Agatha rang me because she and I know that Eric will listen to me" Marjorie heard Evie explain and Marjorie saw everyone get confused looks on their face apart from Sorscha who now looked sorry for Eric "I'm confused on why he only listens to you and not his mum" Reece asked and Marjorie knew this was going to be funny to watch "Sorscha, shall we get some popcorn or something" Marjorie asks her daughter in-law and Marjorie saw Sorscha laugh and nod her head "yeah we should" Sorscha tells her and Marjorie looked at Evie who was just shaking her head at them both "Eric only listens to me due to him looking up at me, I have known him since he was 10, I used to babysit him and take him on trips, once we was out and his mum shouted at him to stop running off he listened but ignored her after a while until I shouted at him and made him walk with me, he listens to me like I would with Mimi if we grew up together, he sees me as a sister/aunt" Evie tried to explain to everyone but Marjorie knew her daughter had hidden the full truth not wanting to be seen as a harsh person.
