I looked into Travis's eyes and saw tears streaming down his cheeks.

"Taylor-"

"I'm sorry, I can't."

I turned my head and walked towards the bedroom to pack my things.

"You are the love of my life, Taylor. I love you more than anyone in the world. Since the moment I met you, since our first date, since our first physical touch, since our first kisses. I love you, Taylor, and I know you're afraid of relationships, but you are the strongest woman I know. You've survived your horrible exes who traumatized you, you've survived a sexual assault, you've endured all the criticism you've received. You are... I don't even have the words to describe you. I love you for who you are, I love you, Taylor. Please don't leave me... I don't know if I can handle it."

"I'm sorry, Travis, I have a plane to catch. I'm sorry."

As I made my way to the front door, I heard Travis crying.

Once on the plane, I received several messages, including one that disturbed me — from Joe.

"I miss you, Tay, and I know you miss me too. I am the love of your life, whether you accept it or not."

I replied to his message, "Joe, I gave you chances, but now it's over."

"But I love you, Taylor."

"I know, Joe... I loved you, but I don't know if I can love you again."

I put my phone away without reading Travis's messages and switched it to airplane mode.

When I landed in New York, I got into my black pickup that was waiting for me. As I arrived at my apartment, I recognized a familiar silhouette.

"Joe?"

He turned around.

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm here to win you back, Taylor. I know you don't love Travis like you love me."

I didn't really know what to say. Without thinking, I said, "Let's go talk in my apartment."

He nodded.

Once inside, we sat on the couch and started talking.

"Joe, I'm not going to lie, I just left Travis."

"You deserve better, Taylor. I can offer you more."

"Joe..."

"No, really, Taylor, I love you."

"I know..." I needed a distraction. Without thinking, I replied, "I love you too, Joe, I've always loved you."

We got closer and kissed, then headed to the bedroom. We closed the door...

**TRAVIS'S POV:**

Once Taylor left my house, I collapsed on my bed in tears, looking at our matching bracelet and the ring with the two Ts that she had intentionally left here.

After several hours, I looked out of curiosity at social media and found a photo of Taylor and Joe outside her apartment, in the entry hall.

I went to the kitchen and poured myself a glass of whiskey, then another, then a third, until I became completely unconscious.

**TAYLOR'S POV:**

I woke up in Joe's arms, our bodies naked and close together.

I slipped out of his arms to go take a shower, only to see a barrage of messages from all my friends.

Blake: "Really, Taylor? Joe? You know I love you, but this is super disrespectful."
