Unrequited Crush: (A Zack Martin Love Story)

Chapter One- Creepy New Kid

Today during class Miss. Tutweiler announces that we have a new student named Austin Riddle, he wasn't bad looking but he really creeped me out. I didn't have any interest in him though because I loved Zack Martin my best friend and boyfriend. As Austin takes his seat all the girls watch him except me like he's some sort of movie star, he looks in my direction instead winking. Zack doesn't notice thankfully but I feel uncomfortable as the creepy guy keeps staring at me when none of my friends notice. 

After class, I run out of the classroom so quickly that my friend group which includes my boyfriend all chase after me. Zack speaks first saying, "What's wrong babe?"

"I don't like the new kid Austin he gives me the creeps. He kept staring at me he even winked at me."

"I think he's cuter than piglets in a barnyard!" Bailey adds.

"He's not that great looking," Addison replies.

"Yeah, he kinda...looks like a barracuda and a swordfish." Woody finishes.

"Yeah, I'm with Woody and Addison!" I say.

"You know it's scientifically impossible for a person to resemble a fish," Cody announces randomly.

I laugh and hug my friends because they had all helped me forget about the creepy new kid.

**1 week later **

"Zack," I whisper in class.

"Yeah?" 

"I...I...I'm really uncomfortable right now."

"I know I've been watching that creep all this week and there's something off about him."

I had moved back into the corner to be closer to my boyfriend who also happened to be my best friend, and I felt safe in Zack's presence. But when Austin turns around and raises his eyebrow at me and flirts a little more, I grab Zack's hand really tightly. 

"Ali, are you okay?" Zack whispers softly.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I lie not wanting to worry him.
