Chapter 1 Barbara

Me and Lily were running behind Liam as he took Lilly's doll and started running. I caught him and Liam started whining "Barb let me go", Lily snatched her doll from his hand and started laughing at him. I started tickling him and Lily joined me and we all burst out laughing.

I am Barbara Moretti the elder sister and mother figure of Lily and Liam. Well when our mother died giving birth to them I didn't have much of a choice but to be their mother/sister even though I was 11 at the time of their birth. Now they are 7, Lily and Liam definitely mom's blue eyes and blonde hair whereas I got dad's black hair and brown eyes. They have become light of my life after mom's death.

We were laughing and playing in the backyard and suddenly I heard a gun shot inside the house.

The Twins got afraid and ran towards me and hugged me after listening to the sharp sound. I got scared as well but acted strong for them and gave them an assuring smile telling them it's okay. I tell them to hide in the store room and lock the door and only open when I call for them.

After that I ran towards the office room of dad to check if he was okay. When I opened the door my face turned at the sight. I saw my dad sitting in his chair and a group of men in black and white suites holding him in the place and a broad tall man in an all black suit with a gun in his hand. Then I realised my dad was shot on the knee and blood was dripping on the floor and I ran towards him without a thought.

I was running towards him with teary eyes when I suddenly realised I was not moving closer to him and was held in the spot near the desk of my father by that cruel men with the gun in his hand. I looked at his cold face with emotionless green eyes with tears flowing from my eyes.
