When Calvin was done he gave her a thumbs up and she took a deep breath as she placed her hands out to the sky as she shut her eyes. She envisioned the magic dome she had seen in Kirka and how it protected the entire village. As she did so her hands glowed purple and light blue as the tags on both entrances began to glow as well.
"Prince Sylus hold onto Princess Reina! She's using a lot of her magic to do this!" Calvin shouted
Rather quickly Prince Sylus went behind Reina and held onto her by her waist keeping her steady so she didn't fall. Within minutes the barrier was back up again and Reina ended up fainting leaning herself against Sylus. He picked up the brunette female in his arms as Calvin rushed up to them. "I figured this would happen. It usually takes five noble mages to do what she just did. She's one hell of a strong missy that's for sure. She might be out of it for a day or so though."
"Then we let her rest, She's done so much for this village. She needs her rest." Sylus said before he placed her in the carriage they came in so she could rest. "For now we keep the villagers away from her."
Calvin nodded his head "I noticed while we were talking that the princess was talking to the male that was helping with the orphanage. She seemed rather keen on talking to that boy, let's get him out here and see what's going on between the two of them."
"Right, there must be a reason she is keen on talking to that male." Sylus said before he went to the orphanage, he went in and he looked at Karl "You-come out with me. Calvin and I wish to speak with you."
Karl got up from the steps and followed Sylus out without a word, once the two males were around Calvin he placed a hand on his hip "The Princess was talking to you a lot earlier this evening. Any reason on why?"
"She wishes f-for m-me to...She wants me to be village Chief. S-she believes since I am m-much smarter than the others and because I haven't bitched about w-working on our village t-that I'd be good as the c-chief. B-But the others don't l-listen to me. S-she also wants me to work the o-orphanage which I don't mind. I w-was an o-orphan and g-grew up with h-her till she was kicked out." Karl stated
"Oh? She truly believes that of your huh? Well you have done much more work than the others. I can see where she could place trust in you. Alright then, I can endorse that choice." Calvin said in thought before he looked at the teal haired male placing a hand on his shoulder. "You are a good man to have gone up to the princess when you had. I can assure you that in time those villagers will listen to you. I'm going to write to the count and have him and his good son come down here to help enforce what the princess wishes."
Karl's eyes widened hearing what Calvin said "S-She said y-you'd help...B-But I didn't think that she'd be r-right about it."
"It is my job as guild master to make sure that those of the outer villages are taken care of. With you as this villages new chief I can defiently make sure this village rises to be just like Kirka." Calvin said with his arms crossed "The Princess is a very knowledgeable young lady-unlike her elder siblings who are just as dumb if not dumber than those in this village aside from yourself."
That night Calvin talked with Karl about what was going to happen with the village as Sylus chose to watch over the princess in the carriage. He kept on guard while he rested in the carriage with her. The next three days Reina was still out of it, Calvin and Sylus took turns watching over the princess so the villagers who weren't keen on her changing things wouldn't get close to her. Two days into her being out of it, Count Vince and Syrus came to Vender and did what they could to assist.
By day four Reina woke up and she held her head as she sat up. "Morning there sunshine. How do you feel?"
"Morning Prince Sylus...I feel like I was just ran over by ten horses. My head hurts so badly right now. It isn't the first I've felt like this...but it is the worst."
"I see, so you've maxed out your magic before then."
"Yes, twice in the past. The first helping the count's family from three S class monsters the second dealing with two dragons on my own that the dumb ass I traveled with provoked. He didn't even stay around me to keep me safe. When I had woken up I was in a cave, so I had to fight my way out of the cave and find the bastard. Which took me three whole days to do."
Sylus wasn't happy hearing what he had from the princess. "That male better hope we don't ever meet face to face, you deserve to be treated better."
"He's never truly cared about me so I honestly don't know how to deal with that moron." She said as she sat properly on the bench looking at him "What's happened in the last four days?"
"It has been announced that Karl is the newest chief and that he has been endorsed by the count and the guild master. Anyone who does not listen to him or goes against him will be known as an act against the kingdom they live in. As it is the count had to kill four men who refused to listen to Karl."
She let out a sigh "I feared that would happen, but I'm glad to hear that my choice was a good choice. How is the orphanage?"
"Done two days ago, the children are back already. With the help of the count and his youngest son the school and bank have both already been built." Sylus said with his arms crossed
Her purple eyes widened "wait what?!"
"Looks like they knew spells to built things rather quickly which made things go rather smoothly. As of now the houses are being repaired and farms are being built for resources here."
"I see, that would make sense. Have you had any sleep Sylus?"
"I have-Calvin and I have been taking shift on watching over you. You are a valuable person in this kingdom and you are under our watch. If anything were to happen to you it'd be on us."
She nodded her head. "that's understandable."
