When Sylus and Reina were done eating, Sylus took her around the castle with Xavier behind them. It wasn't long before Xavier saw other guards around the castle, Sylus looked behind him to Xavier. "Just like the princess, I have my own guards. I wish for you to meet who you will be taking shifts with. As long as you two are here you won't have to worry about protecting her alone. Not only will I be protecting her but my guards will as well."
Xavier nodded his head before the two male guards went up to Xavier. "Heya, I'm Lance and this here beside me is Tony. He doesn't talk much so don't get offended if he doesn't talk to ya. What's your name kid?"
"Xavier sir."
"Ahn, gotcha. Let me take you to where the guard dorms are. Tony will be taking care of the Prince and princess from here." Lance said with a grin
Xavier nodded his head and he left with Lance, while he did Lance let out a sigh. "I must apologize to you Xavier, I know you've dealt with my sister-Courtney today. She...she's a rather big handful not just for the crown but for my family as well."
Xavier raised an eyebrow at the male. "Oh? I had no idea that immature woman was your sister."
"Indeed she is, we're twins actually. She's the younger of the two of us, even though she thinks she knows everything-she doesn't. And the fucked up part about it all is she's the youngest over all too. God damn brat thinks she's a know it all when she isn't. That's our mother." Lance said shaking his head
"That's fucked up, she tried to attack the princess earlier and thought that she was less qualified to be with the prince than her."
Lance stopped walking and looked at Xavier "Say what now? That woman is gonna get herself killed."
"The Princess almost did kill her but she was told not to by the prince."
Lance shook his head. "Honestly, I could have cared less about that brat. She's been making problems since she was caught fucking Prince Hyun. Which that is something you're going to have to keep an eye on. Crown Prince Sylus's brothers don't know what the word 'no' means. They will do whatever they want until they get what they want."
"They aren't going to get close to the Princess, she is the strongest and most powerful caster in all of Hartman. It will take a lot to get under her skin to make her buckle, not to mention that woman is completely obsessed with that prince guy. She doesn't know how to say 'no' to him and only him." Xavier said with a sigh
Lance let out a small chuckle. "Well, seems like your princess would be the first to be that way towards him. I do hope that this is the last time I have to see the Crown prince court someone. He's been more than a bit depressed since the woman who had been before the princess he truly wanted to give his heart to but they chose to throw that away for something more physical just because he wouldn't."
"It should be, the princess is ignorant and innocent to the cue. She's only ever spoken words of love to that prince and no one else." Xavier said with a small smile
Lance smiled back at him-Showing hope within his eyes. "I do hope that before the year is out that I get to see the prince marry. I've been his guard since he was a mere child-granted I was too. But while I trained I was still his guard and kept to my duty as his guard since then."
"I know how you feel, I've been Princess Reina's guard since I met up with her when she was Ten-Eleven long years of knowing her and now seeing her being in love with someone...it's strange to say the least. This is the first she's ever be courted."
Lance stopped at the dorms with a raised eyebrow "Oh? So she doesn't even know what happens when a woman is courted does she?"
"No, my mother-who raised her and I didn't give her that knowledge like she had done to me. My mother...My mother seemed to dislike having the princess in the house growing up. And to this day it seems to be a big frustration of hers. She hates it when people bring up Princess Reina around her."
"That's fucked up, as a woman who is married your mother should have taken up the womanly duty to tell your princess just what is in store for her when she got older. Not keep her in the dark as she had. I do hope the two of them get along well enough if that's the case."
"As do I, your prince seems to lack communication skills. Which is a key point that Princess Reina seems to be rather keen on having with whoever she is with."
"Ahn yes...He does have that problem. He's always had that problem since he was a child. No doubt they've had a few quarrels because of that."
"Yeah...two in one night." Xavier said rubbing between his eyes
Lance laughed a bit "Oh my-Sorry you had to deal with that. Now here's the dorms. You'll be rooming with Tony and I. It doesn't really matter which bed you sleep in, just know that there has to be at least one of us on duty at all time."
"Alright sound good to me. I was worried that I'd be the only one watching them."
"Nah, you're not. You got Tony and I. Let's get you set up here so you aren't sticking out like a sore thumb." Lance said with a grin
Xavier nodded his head and he was given new clothes to wear so he'd blend in better as a guard. He chose one of the beds to place his things on before he chose to rest for the rest of the night. He hadn't slept that much in the last few days so he was more than happy to be able to rest and get himself recharged for the mess ahead of him.
