In the last chapter, I talked about how at Fiona's engagement party, Maine had been invited, but she didn't seem to be enjoying the event as much. I also mentioned that there could've been many contributing factors in this whole event that might have left her feeling uncomfortable. One has to do with the topic of sexuality, the other one with exes.
I really feel a bit odd writing this because, although I tend to write fun gossip stuff, it's always from my perspective, my thoughts, my reactions, and everything from my POV. However, the reason why I know this is because Lola told me, and ... it sort of connects to what I experienced previously with Maine. It feels odd because I will be talking about something I wasn't there for, which I usually don't do here or in real life, but whatever... let's get to it.
So, to tell this story, we are going to go back in time to when this group of friends were in high school

I will introduce some characters as part of this chapter only. I mean this chapter only because they were not my friends back then or now, and I won't mention them anymore in this book, but we studied together for many years, so I know a lot about this time period.
1. Maine- we already know who this is, the ex-friend BTS ultra fan
2. Lola- we also know her, my current closest friend
3. Fiona- Lola's sister, a volatile girl

4. Page- new character #1. She was one of the cool girls at school. Didn't love her. Didn't hate her. She was just there doing her thing and fucking dudes around. She was Nemo's girlfriend in high school
5. Nemo- thought he was cool because he hung around cool girls. He wasn't. He was a douche. He sucks but... whatever.
6. Tammy- the innocent cool girl... think Chrissy from Stranger Things. Also, Jacob's girlfriend.
