How we never even crushed

I'm going to be talking a little more about Lukas. I have mentioned him before in other chapters, but I have never dedicated one for him, sooo....here it goes.

Now, I met Lukas in my first year of middle school and ever since then we became very close. Along with Zach we would always be like an "invincible trio". We went through a lot of good and bad moments together, like when Luka's parents got divorced, to when he had his first (and believe me, not last) girl rejection, to graduating and spending good school moments.

When we graduated he decided to go study abroad. He came back a few weeks ago and, I swear to you I'm not lying, but I had the most stupid, embarrassing and crazy moment I have ever had.

So basically, since I met Lukas he has been the one that I always go to whenever I have problems or I need someone to talk to, and since he moved because of the distance and other stuff, I'm not gonna get into details, concerning the communication I couldn't contact him as often as I did.

Anyways, you are at university, dealing with some pretty dramatic moments in class, and the person who always helps you get through it all isn't there. My mom has always helped me, but it feels different when the support doesn't come from the usual person. At this point, I really started to miss him a lot and eventually, I started thinking

"Do you miss him, or do you also like him or what the heck is going on?"

I came to the conclusion that both of us had been giving each other so much of our attention for such a long time that that "cycle", if we could call it that, had vanished and it honestly felt weird af.

Now I'm gonna go back to middle school for you to understand why what happened happened in the future.

So Lukas had this gigantic crush on Maine, who has been my bff since pre-school. She didn't like him, and I knew this. I slowly tried to talk Lukas out of this, but I couldn't. He kept asking her out and giving her Valentine's gifts, and she was polite to him, accepting the gifts, buuuuuuuuuut she never went on a date with him and actually rejected him quite often. Now, Maine is a very nice person, so she would do it in the sweetest way, and there was a point where Lukas started considering Maine as a best friend since she didn't like him the way he wanted her to.

Where was I during all these things?

Dealing with the freaking Gambon and Oliver situations.

Anyways, long story short, nothing happened between them, we all became and still are extremely good friends aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand end of flashback.

Now, back to the present, Lukas came to visit his dad, who lives close to my town, for like 3 weeks. So one day a receive this message from him that said <hey!! I'm going to the movie theater with my cousin and Maine, wanna come?? Also, invite Dean and Zach!>

So of course I decided to go and at this point I was convinced that I had a small crush (like an extremely small crush)
