"Najib, you can't get on that plane, please God, don't let him." She minced these words with lots of fear in her heart.

The fear of getting to the Airport to find him gone, the fear of not being able to share her feelings again, the fear of experiencing regret for constantly pushing him away, and overall, the fear of losing him made her heart beat anxiously as she speeds on the road.

Approximately, to get to the Airport took an hour but in 30 minutes, Hanan was screeching her car tires into the parking area, without even confirming if she had locked her car properly, she ran into the Airport premises.

Upon getting to the gate, the security got scared and held her up for a series of questions.

"Ma'am, are you a passenger?" A lady in uniform asked as her eyes traveled around Hanan's body with an expression of shock, and only then did it occur to Hanan that she was in her pajamas with no shoes on her feet.

"Oh! Shit." She whispered while feeling embarrassed as people around were beginning to stare at her.

"Ma... I'm here to see someone, Please let me pass."

"You haven't answered me, where is your luggage?" The lady replied sternly.

"You see... I'm not a passenger, I only came to find someone, please let me pass...

"Looking like this?!" The lady scoffed which made Hanan completely lose her patience.

"Ma, it's urgent, can you let me go?!" Hanan snapped irritated by her interrogations, all she wanted was to stop her lover from leaving.

"Go, but I'll be keeping my eyes on you." The lady replied while getting out of the way, Hanan didn't waste a second to run in.

Seats by seat, she went searching for him, but he was not in sight, she had gone around the whole Gate room for the third time now, yet she couldn't find a trace of him.

"God! Please... Where is he?" She sighed.

"Has he left...?" She whispered while glancing at the gateway, the planes could be seen through the transparent glass doors just ahead of her, she felt the need to run there but she was hesitant to as the security officer had her eyes on her.

Just then, she heard her name yell from behind and quickly she turned with the hope that it was Najib but it wasn't.

"Amira?" Hanan smiled to see her friend.

"Hanan?" Amira gasped as she eyed Hanan's strange appearance, and in a rush, she approached her.

"Hanan, I'm so glad to meet you, I owe you a lot of apologies but first why are you dressed...

"Amira... Hanan cuts her off.

"I have no time for this now, please has any plane departed?"

"Yes, but which one are you asking of?"

"Huh... Hanan mumbled realizing she didn't even know the country he was leaving for.

"Oh... God." She whispered while glancing at the gateway.

"What is it? Why do you look so disturbed, did you miss your flight or what?" Amira asked worriedly as Hanan's eyes were now filled with tears.

"I... have lost him." Her voice breaks with a choked-back sob, and soon she has an outburst of tears.

"I just... lost the man I love, and it's all my fault." She says while weeping loudly like a baby, Amira had begun to feel embarrassed for her as she was attracting more curious gazes on them.

"It's okay, stop crying." Amira gently wiped her cheeks.

"Is it Najib?" She asks but that makes her cry louder.
