The Hargreeves surrounded one of Elliott's old television sets, watching the news following Kennedy's assassination. The main suspect, Lee Harvey Oswald along with his associates, associates who were not written in history until today.
"Authorities are asking for help identifying several persons of interest at Dealey Plaza at the time of the assassination. The FBI believes they may have been acting in concert with the alleged shooter, Lee Harvey Oswald," The newscaster announced. The announcer began to list his assailants, names all familiar to the Hargreeves. He had stock board with images of each Hargreeves pasted on.
"Vanga Hargreeves, wanted in connection with the deaths of several FBI agents inside the federal building at Dealey Plaza," Viktor grimaced, he knew that he was publicly Vanya still. Ever since Mei and Five cleared the air, he's felt moreover comfortable. Mei stared at the Hargreeves as they were announced, their face hardening at their assigned titles by the Government or News station.
"A Cuban exile known only as Diego..." Diego furrowed his eyebrows at the race he was assigned. "Cuban?"
"This is White America," Mei scoffed as she leaned against the handrail of the stairs. The Television continued its list of Lee Harvey Oswald's associates, "Who recently escaped from the Holbrook Sanitarium. A bare-knuckle boxer with suspected Mafia ties who fights under the alias "King Kong." Allison Chestnut, a black radical responsible for instigating and organizing the recent riots at Stadtler's lunch counter.
And finally, Klaus, the controversial cult leader and known tax evader," The newscaster ended. The newscaster went through each member of the Hargreeves Family, using random images of the Hargreeves, last was a picture of Mei and Five appeared from over the fence at the Grassy Knoll. Their faces were not the most attractive capture the FBI could have taken.
"The FBI is asking the public to be on the lookout for this unidentified boy, and ex-producer, Mei Yamada who had gone missing whilst in Texas, reported missing by her work and adoptive father. Both are believed to be held hostage by the suspected terrorist network..." The reporter continued while The 'Assailants' all talked.
"Well, it's true. I do feel like I'm being held hostage most days," Five agreed with the assessment. Mei's face was tense as she looked at the Television screen.
"What the hell..." Mei muttered. "Excuse me," leaned off the railing and ran up the stairs weaving between Five, Diego and Allison.
Mei's hands worked fast to dial the number to James's home residence. A few rings came and the phone was picked up.
"James Yamada speaking," the phone croaked.
"James! Why am I reported missing?" Mei quietly shouted into the phone.
"You forgot to hand the two weeks in kid," James said, Mei heard paper rustling in the back. "I have it here. I was going to turn it in, but the company went wild about it. I gave them notice I was leaving for a couple of weeks and assumed you by extension. When I returned they were worried sick when you didn't return with me. I had to lie and say when we were in Texas you went missin'. I'm sorry, Kid but I called a dozen times, no one picked up." James told her.
