"I'd give you every bit of happiness that has ever existed on Earth."
Y/N's POV
The darkness enveloped me as I sat in the wheelchair, my curiosity piqued and frustration simmering. I was being led by Jungkook through the grand entrance of what I could only assume was his mansion, but with this blindfold snugly tied around my eyes, every sound and sensation was amplified.
"Jungkook, seriously, where are we going? Why is everything so dark? And what's with the blindfold?" I huffed, trying to peek through the edges of the fabric.
"Patience, mon chéri," Jungkook's voice was muffled but laced with a teasing note. "It's a surprise. Trust me, you'll love it."
I was about to protest further when suddenly, I felt the wheelchair stop. The sound of footsteps receding made me even more anxious. "Jungkook? Where did you go? Come back!"
No response.
I wiggled my fingers in frustration, trying to reach out, but the only thing I could grasp was the cool, smooth metal of the wheelchair. It felt eerily quiet.
I took a deep breath and reached up to remove the blindfold. The sudden exposure to darkness made me squint my eyes, trying to make sense of the shadowy shapes around me. Just as I was about to turn the wheelchair to search for a light, there was a loud burst of sound. Partypoppers exploded, showering the room with a cascade of colorful confetti.
The lights flickered on, revealing the grand foyer of the mansion. And there they were, all of them—standing together with grins so wide, they looked like they might burst from sheer joy.
I blinked, my eyes wide with shock. "What... What is all this?"
"Surprise!" they all cheered in unison.
I could hardly contain my emotion. The sight of everyone together, their faces lit up with happiness, was overwhelming. I felt tears prick my eyes as the reality of the celebration hit me.
Jungkook stepped forward, his eyes soft and warm. "Merry Christmas, mon chéri. I wanted to make this day special for you. You've been through so much, and I thought you deserved a celebration to remember."
Felix and Eunwoo immediately started playfully teasing me about how I was their "favorite patient," and Jimin made some dramatic remarks about how my expression was worth every bit of effort they put into planning this. Jin and Namjoon joined in, making sure the food and drinks were perfectly set, while Sana and Taehyung decorated the space with a mix of holiday cheer and personal touches that made the room feel cozy and festive.
Grandma, her eyes still red from earlier, gave me a heartfelt hug. "You've got so many people who love you, Y/N. Remember that."
I couldn't help but laugh through my tears, feeling a deep sense of gratitude and love for everyone around me. The joy in the room was palpable, and for a moment, all the pain and struggles seemed to fade away.
"Thank you, everyone. This... this is amazing," I said, my voice trembling with emotion.
Jungkook knelt beside my wheelchair, his gaze intense but soft. "I just wanted to remind you how much you mean to me. And to everyone here. We're all here for you, no matter what."
I reached out and took his hand, feeling the warmth of his touch. "I love you, Jungkook. Thank you for everything."
He smiled, and as the room erupted in cheers and laughter, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. Despite everything that had happened, this was a reminder that we were stronger together. And as the celebration continued, I knew that this moment was something we would cherish forever.
