Y/N's POV

Walking into Jeon Enterprises, I felt a mix of nostalgia and frustration.

ah.

dejavu.

The marble floors and glass walls looked as polished and imposing as ever, but today, I had a very different mission. I was going to find Jungkook and give him a piece of my mind.

I approached the reception desk with a confident stride. "Hi, I'm Y/N Choi. I'd like to see Jungkook Jeon, the CEO."

The receptionist's eyes widened, and a hush fell over the room. Everyone around me seemed to freeze. It was as if I had just said the most forbidden thing in the universe. "You want to see Mr. Jeon?" the receptionist asked, trying to mask her surprise with professionalism.

"Yes," I said, nodding with a casual air. "Mr. Jeon...he's here right?"

The receptionist looked like I'd asked her to solve a Rubik's Cube blindfolded. "Well, yes, but..."

Before she could finish her sentence, she was cut off by a colleague who stepped in to enforce the usual protocol. "Sorry, Miss Choi, but Mr. Jeon is in a meeting."

I barely resisted the urge to roll my eyes. Oh, really? A meeting? I could have sworn Jungkook mentioned he had no meetings today. I could feel my frustration mounting. Sneaking past the receptionist with a swift move that would make any spy proud, I headed for the elevators.

and once again im sneaking in.

ugh.

Climbing up to the 12th floor, I was flooded with memories of my first visit here. Back then, sneaking in had been an adventure. Now, it felt more like an annoyance. "Jungkook, when I catch you..." I muttered under my breath, "you're going to get an earful."

I reached the 12th floor and found Jungkook's cabin. Just as I was about to push open the door, I was stopped by a man I didn't recognize. He was younger, with a sharp suit and an air of importance.

"Excuse me," he said, holding out his hand. "I'm Jung Hae-in, Mr. Jeon's new assistant. How can I help you?"

I raised an eyebrow, trying to stay composed. "Jungkook told me there was no meeting today. I'm here to see him."

Hae-in looked puzzled, and I could tell he wasn't convinced. "I'm sorry, but Mr. Jeon is—"

"Really?" I cut him off. "I've heard that one before. Last time, I was told the same thing, and guess what? Jungkook was just hiding behind his desk."

Before Hae-in could respond, the door to the cabin swung open, and there stood Jungkook. He had just caught sight of me and his eyes widened in surprise. It was like watching a perfectly composed man get thrown off balance by the sight of his own chaotic personal life.

"What's going on here?" Jungkook asked, his gaze shifting from me to his flustered assistant.

As soon as I saw him, I couldn't hold back. "Jungkook Jeon, do you have any idea how hard it is to get past your security just to have a word with you? I've been waiting for this moment to scold you about being so secretive about your so-called 'meetings.' You promised me you'd be more accessible!"

Jungkook stood there, his expression softening into a sheepish grin. He was as attentive as a child caught in the act. To everyone watching, it was as if I had suddenly become his entire world.

The staff gathered around, watching with bated breath as Jungkook listened to me, completely at ease. It was a rare sight—seeing the great and intimidating Jungkook Jeon be so utterly subdued. He didn't just listen; he looked genuinely entranced by my scolding.
