(Y/N'S POV)

The next morning arrived all too quickly. I woke up early, feeling a mix of excitement and dread as I freshened up and took a quick bath. The sky outside was still tinged with the soft colors of dawn, casting a gentle glow over the room. Jungkook had stayed up late the night before, making sure everything was ready for my departure.

As I moved around our room, I could feel Jungkook's gaze on me—loving, though tinged with sadness. It was hard to ignore how he seemed like he was trying to memorize every moment.

Downstairs, he had arranged a small breakfast for me—fresh fruit, pastries, and a steaming cup of coffee. It was clear he wanted to make sure I wouldn't leave hungry.

"Eat up quickly, mon cheri or else you'll be late" he said softly as he fed me bites of croissant while I packed my bag.

I couldn't help but smile, even as my heart ached. "I'm really going to miss you, nae cheonsa" I said, wrapping my arms around his neck and giving him a pouty look.

Jungkook tried to act cool, but I knew him too well. "It's okay," he said, though his eyes betrayed his feelings. "It's just a week or two. We'll be fine."

Yeah, the same guy who was practically screaming in his house the last time I didn't wake up next to him—because he last saw me only ten hours ago—was now acting like a mom sending her kid off to a school trip.

We finished breakfast, and I was all packed up and ready to go. We were dressed casually, ready for the day ahead. As we headed to the parking area and climbed into the car, Jungkook took on his role as the world's most fussy parent.

"Remember," he said, adjusting the rearview mirror to look at me, "don't be clumsy. if you need anything and soobin or uncle arent there then without any hesitation, just call me. I mean it. If you're feeling even slightly off, text me immediately. And send me a picture of you enjoying yourself every twenty minutes."

I raised an eyebrow, laughing a bit. "I'm sure I'll be fine, Kookie. But I'll do my best to send you updates."

"Good," he said, nodding seriously. "Also, remember to drink water, eat regularly, and get enough sleep. And if you're going anywhere, let me know beforehand. Don't forget to check in with me every hour on the hour. I want to know what you're up to."

By the time we reached the airport, I felt a strange, almost ominous feeling in my chest. It was like something didn't quite feel right. As we stood together, ready to part ways, I felt tears welling up in my eyes.

I didn't know why I was crying, but it felt as if I was never going to see him again—or maybe it was just my heart trying to tell me something.

"Jungkook," I said, my voice breaking, "pinky promise me something?"

His eyes softened, and he pulled me into a tight hug, trying to hold back his own tears letting out a chuckle of how i always asked him to promise me something whenever i felt even a bit insecure. "What is it?"

"Promise me," I said, choking on my tears, "that you'll take care of yourself too. And that you'll be here when I come back."

He nodded, his voice thick with emotion. "I promise. Now go, or you'll miss your flight."

As we hugged and shared a kiss, I could feel his arms tightening around me. I reluctantly let go, my heart aching as I walked towards the check-in counter.

Jungkook stood there, his eyes glistening, trying to put on a brave face.

"Take care," he yelled after me, his voice cracking. "Don't be clumsy! And remember, call me if anything happens."
