Y/N's POV
As I rode my bike, the wind whipping past, I couldn't shake the heavy feeling weighing down on me. The mission had been a success, but it was already 7:40 p.m.. A single tear escaped from the corner of my eye, quickly lost in the rush of the wind.
Today was supposed to be special for Jungkook. It was his birthday, a fact I had been secretly excited to celebrate. I had planned to pamper him, make him fall in love with his birthday, and give him a day he'd remember. Instead, we spent it in a whirlwind of danger and adrenaline, rescuing Jungwon and fighting off threats.
I thought about everything we had gone through today—how we had put ourselves in harm's way, how we had faced violence and danger. It was all part of our lives, part of who we were, but it wasn't what Jungkook deserved...
He deserved peace, joy, and all the happiness the world could offer.
I had envisioned a different day for him: waking up to a breakfast prepared with love, enjoying a relaxing morning, being showered with affection. Instead, he had spent the day in the chaos of our world, fighting and strategizing, with no hint of celebration or joy.
As I rode, the night air seemed colder, more isolating. I wanted so much more for him, something that would make him smile genuinely, without any of the harsh realities of our lives.
When I looked over at Jungkook, who was riding beside me, his face set in a determined expression, I felt a pang of regret. I knew he wouldn't mention it, wouldn't complain or even hint that something was wrong. He was always so strong, so focused on what needed to be done. But I couldn't help but feel that today, of all days, he deserved better..a day full of laughter and love, not just another mission. And here I was, feeling like I had failed in giving him the special day he deserved.
I wiped away the tear with the back of my hand, took a deep breath, Tonight, I would make sure that his birthday ended on a high note, no matter what it took.
As we parked our bikes in the driveway of my mansion, I glanced over at Jungkook, who was still in his serious, mission-mode demeanor. Despite everything that had happened today, seeing him in his leather jacket and helmet, his gaze intense but soft when he looked at me, made my heart flutter. There was something so magnetic about him, even in the midst of all our chaos.
We dismounted our bikes, and I took a moment to admire him. There was something undeniably hot about the way he carried himself, even after a grueling day. His strong presence and the way he moved with purpose—it was all part of what made him so irresistible.
scary? my god you're divine.
(haha)
"You ready to head inside?" I asked, trying to keep my tone light, though I still felt the weight of the day's events.
Jungkook gave me a nod, his eyes flicking towards the grand entrance of the mansion. "Let's go. I've been looking forward to this all day."
We walked towards the door, and as we reached it, I unlocked the door. Once we were inside, the cool air of the mansion greeted us. I led him upstairs to my (our) room. I had arranged a little surprise for him, something to make up for the lack of celebration earlier in the day.
As we walked through the hallway, I could feel Jungkook's curiosity piquing. "What's all this about?" he asked, his voice low and filled with intrigue.
I gave him a smile, trying to lighten the mood. "You'll see soon enough. Just follow me."
