CH-61 : The Breaking Point

The sun was barely rising, casting long shadows through the dense trees as the group trudged through the jungle, the crunch of leaves beneath their boots filling the awkward silence. 

This was definitely not where anyone expected to be on a mission.

Felix grumbled, stepping over a fallen branch. "Namjoon hyung, are you sure this is the right place? Like, really sure? Because last I checked, Y/N wasn't a jungle explorer."

Eunwoo nodded in agreement, looking around in disbelief. "Yeah, we're supposed to rescue her, not get lost ourselves."

Namjoon turned around, his face deadpan under the shadow of his hoodie. "Do you think I want to be wandering in a jungle? The system doesn't lie. This is the location. Just keep moving."

Suga, walking beside him, stifled a yawn. "Namjoon's right. Now shut up before you attract a bear or something."

Jin, ever the peacemaker, tried to lighten the mood. "Well, at least if a bear does show up, I'm sure Tae-yong here will talk it out of eating us."

Everyone turned to look at Taeyong, who had been trailing slightly behind, his eyes darting nervously between Felix and Eunwoo, who were glaring daggers at him.

[well yeah, earlier taeyong, felix and eunwoo had insisted namjoon to take them along]

Felix scoffed, "Speaking of which, why is he here? I thought we were rescuing Y/N, not bringing a stalker along for the ride."

Eunwoo nodded, crossing his arms. "Yeah, Tae-yong, you've been after Y/N for God knows how long. Why do you care all of a sudden?"

Taeyong straightened up, his eyes narrowing. "I'm here because I care about her. More than you'll ever understand."

Felix rolled his eyes. "Oh please, care? You mean obsess."

Before things could escalate, Namjoon raised his hand to silence them. "Shut it, all of you. We don't have time for this. Focus on the mission."

J-Hope, who had been silently watching the tension brew, finally spoke up with a laugh. "I mean, let's be real—whoever thought we'd end up in the middle of a jungle on a rescue mission? Next thing you know, we'll be fighting off lions."

Jin snickered. "Or snakes. Lots of snakes."

J-hope's eyes widened in panic. "Snakes?! There better not be snakes here. I swear to god, if something slithers across my leg—"

Eunwoo rolled his eyes. "Focus, Hobi hyung. If you get bit, we'll just leave you here for the bears."

J-hope smacked his arm. "Shut up, Eunwoo."

Jin chuckled, but the amusement faded as they continued walking deeper into the jungle. The silence stretched, and the thick foliage made everything feel more eerie.

After what felt like hours, Taeyong finally broke the silence. "So... this better lead somewhere, right? Because if we're about to find out Y/N's being held in some tropical treehouse, I'm gonna lose it."

Namjoon sighed. "We're close. The system traced the car here. Just a little further."

Felix couldn't resist. "To what? A hidden lair? Maybe she's being held by a bunch of monkeys."

Eunwoo snorted. "If we find a banana peel, I'm leaving."

Suga finally turned around, glaring at the two of them. "If you don't shut up, I'm sending you both back to the city myself. No one wants to be here, but we need to be serious."
