The sunlight peeked through the curtains of the hotel room, and I groaned, feeling like a thousand tiny hammers were pounding inside my head. My mouth was dry, and my body ached as if I had danced for hours — which, knowing myself, I probably did. I couldn't recall anything from last night, though. My mind was a hazy blur.
I blinked, squinting against the light, trying to gather myself when suddenly the pain intensified. "Ugh..." I groaned, pressing my hands to my temples.
Just then, I heard footsteps approaching, followed by the smell of something warm and comforting. I slowly turned my head to see a bowl being held in front of me. Hangover soup.
I squinted at the hand holding the bowl, trailing my gaze up, only to find Jungkook standing there, a playful smile dancing on his lips.
"Morning, mon chéri," he said, his voice warm and teasing. "Rough night?"
I stared at him, confused. "What happened last night?" I mumbled, sitting up slowly and taking the bowl from him, the steam rising up and making my stomach rumble.
Jungkook chuckled softly, sitting down on the edge of the bed. "Well, let's just say... you were very entertaining."
"Entertaining?" I echoed, wincing as I brought the spoon to my lips. The soup was perfect—warm, savory, and instantly soothing.
"Oh yeah," he grinned, leaning back, clearly enjoying my confusion. "You called me Koookieeee...spicccyyyy noodlee cinammon roll~ and what not! at the top of your lungs. Multiple times."
I blinked, horrified. "I did what?"
He nodded. "And sugar plum. And babyy." He bit back a laugh. "You were quite the performer last night."
I groaned, covering my face with my hand, mortified. "Oh no... I didn't."
"Oh yes, you did." He leaned forward, gently taking the bowl from my hands so I wouldn't spill it. "Everyone heard you, by the way. Even Taehyung and Sana."
I stared at him, wide-eyed. "I'm never drinking again."
Jungkook laughed softly, his hand brushing my hair away from my face. "You say that every time. But don't worry, I got you. No one could handle you but me."
I sighed, leaning back against the headboard. "I can't believe I made such a fool of myself..."
"You didn't," he reassured me, his eyes softening. "You were... adorable. Just a little louder than usual."
I peeked at him from under my hand, feeling a small smile tug at the corners of my lips. "You stayed with me the whole night?"
"Of course," he said, his voice lowering. "Where else would I be? Plus," he added with a playful smirk, "I couldn't let you wander around drunk and calling me Koookieee in front of everyone..but i wont mind it though~"
I groaned again, though a part of me warmed at the thought of him staying by my side.
"Thank you... for taking care of me," I whispered, the headache starting to fade a little as I relaxed.
Jungkook leaned closer, his gaze softening. "Always, mon chéri." Then, with that teasing smile back on his lips, he added, "Now finish your soup before I tell everyone you tried to serenade the moon with how much you love your nae cheonsa."
I narrowed my eyes at him, though the blush creeping up my cheeks was undeniable. "You wouldn't dare."
"Try me." His grin was pure mischief.
