Throughout the week I start writing about The Domain for a story. I figured since no one has any information about this place I might as well provide it. I mean I had my experience there and it was nothing like I thought it to be. I'm sure people are curious about it, also it might be controversial. Also meaning the business getting hate and I too will feel the heat. Especially my opinion regarding the business, I find it to be a really nice way to be clean and casual with other people without the danger of bringing strangers home. I'm lost in thought as I think back to that night, Theo's hands on my body.
I'm startled out of my daydream as I see a text from Theo. *Be over in 20" "Oh fuck! I gotta get ready" I ran to the bathroom stripping every article of clothing off.
I jump in the shower, refreshing myself. I quickly ran to my room finding the first dress in my closet and throwing it on. Looking at the clock, I only have minutes to spare. I do light makeup, and let my hair dry naturally. As I put my earrings in I hear a knock on my door.
Theo looks very charming in his gray suit, it hugs his muscles perfectly. We head out, I haven't asked him where he planned on taking me I rather leave it as a surprise.
We park in front of a fairly new restaurant that just opened here last week in our town. " I hope this place is as good as it looks" Theo flashes his sexy smile.
I hate that I get so nervous around him, feeling the blush on my face. "Yeah, I've seen this place packed since it opened" returning a smile. Theo is being such a gentleman, opening doors for me and grabbing my hand as I walk up a step. We are greeted by the receptionist
"Hello, how are we this fine evening?"
"Great, how are you?"
"Exceptional sir. Do you have a reservation?"
"Yes, it should be under Bourbon"
"Let me see here, ahh yes, right this way sir"
I hold in a laugh, this is way too fancy for my liking but this place is absolutely beautiful. Theo pulls my chair out for me and pushes me in, joining me on the opposite side. We ordered our drinks, I went with red wine and Theo got a scotch on the rocks. We make small talk while we wait,
"So how have you been? Anything new?"
I giggle at the awkwardness, " I've been fine, just really busy with my new job."
"Oh really? Are you working at the daily news?"
" Yeah I am! I actually wanted to ask you if I could interview you?"
"What are you writing about that I could help with?"
"Well, I'm writing about The Domain and since I've seen you there before and I experienced it with you, I tho-" I get cut off.
"What do you mean you've seen me there before!? And absolutely not, Aspen you can't- ugh! Why are you poking around my private life?"
'I-I didn't mean to upset yo-"
"Aspen, if you write about this, leave my name out of it and stay the hell out of my private life." With that Theo threw a couple 100's on the table and walked out.
I sit there wondering what the fuck just happened, once again we can never have a regular interaction without it going south. I grab my purse, not wanting to think about the walk home in these heels. The embarrassment I feel is heart wrenching. I walk to the corner when a car pulls up beside me, it's Theo.
"Please get in the car, let me take you home"
I sigh, not really wanting to give in but I do not want to walk in heels.
"Look I am not who I say I am"
I raise an eyebrow "than who are you" I scoff.
"My name is Theodore Armani, I'm the owner of The Domain and very dangerous men go there to fuck woman and do there deals there."
I start laughing hysterically "yeah, okay next you're going to tell me you are in the mob"
I look over to a very serious Theo, " Oh, you can't be serious"
Theo became visibly angry. "Dead serious" his eyes never leaving the road sent shivers down my spine.
Theo drops me off without another word, I walk into my apartment kicking my heels off. I don't know what I am going to do, writing is my dream and this story would be the boost I need for my career, but that wouldn't mean anything to me if I'm dead.
