The sun crept over the horizon, casting a golden glow over the lodge and the surrounding forest. The students of Class 1-A and 1-B were already up, grumbling and stretching their tired limbs. Y/N, however, had been up for hours, running through a mental checklist of their most recent life choices.
"Five AM, huh? Guess some habits die hard. Or, you know, refuse to die. Like me!" Y/N muttered to themselves, cracking a grin that would've made Deadpool proud.
Shota Aizawa, their ever-dedicated teacher, stood in the middle of a clearing, watching his students struggle with their Quirks. Mina was melting rocks, Denki was overloading batteries, Eijiro was hardening and re-hardening his skin, and Hanta was practicing his tape-like Quirk by swinging from tree to tree.
"You guys need to push harder," Shota advised, his tone as dry as the desert. "Remember, you're heroes in training. Your fundamental drive will help you improve and progress."
"Drive, huh?" Y/N thought. "More like driven to madness by all this work."
Y/N couldn't help but break the fourth wall, imagining a montage sequence of their classmates training to an upbeat '80s song.
"Man, if this were a movie, we'd have a killer training montage right now. Cue the music! Oh wait, copyright issues. Never mind."
Izuku raised his hand, as earnest as ever. "Mr. Aizawa, will any more teachers be joining us at the lodge?"
Shota shook his head. "No, Midoriya. We only brought the minimum personnel needed. All Might stayed away because he's a target."
Ragdoll chimed in cheerfully, "But don't worry! Tonight we have something fun planned: a test of courage!"
"Oh great, a test of courage," Y/N muttered, loud enough for the invisible audience. "Because nothing says 'team building' like scaring the crap out of each other in a dark forest."
As the sun set, the students gathered to cook dinner. The scent of grilling meat and roasting vegetables filled the air. Shoto Todoroki approached Izuku, who was staring into the fire with a troubled expression.
"What did you want to talk to All Might about?" Shoto asked.
Izuku sighed, glancing around to ensure they weren't overheard. "Kota. He doesn't like heroes or Quirks. I want to help him understand, but I don't know how."
Shoto nodded thoughtfully. "Words alone won't help. Actions speak louder. Show him what heroes do, how they help humanity. He'll come around."
Y/N, overhearing this, couldn't help but chime in. "Oh, Shoto, giving sage advice! Who knew the Ice Prince could be so warm-hearted? Also, note to self: patent 'Ice Prince' as a superhero name."
