Elara's Diary
The village is not how it used to be anymore. I know because I've been observing the place where I grew up. Alaric forbids anyone from leaving, spreading lies to keep the villagers under his control. He claims that the guardian is a myth, a tale to keep the children entertained. But I know the truth.
Not everyone knows this language, which is why I chose to write my thoughts in a language that might be foreign to everyone, especially after I learned how Alaric didn't let anyone learn how to speak and read this language. He will keep them in the dark. He will treat everyone like a puppet. He won't let anyone know how evil he is behind his kind facade, especially if he finds out about this diary.
I can still feel the guardian’s presence, even as I hide in the shadows. I must protect the artifacts and ensure their power does not fall into Alaric’s hands. The guardian’s legacy must endure, for the sake of our village and for the future of my child.
I have delivered my child outside the world, and as much as it pains me, I am planning to hide her like I hid the artifacts. I gave birth to a girl, and I named her Liora. She's more safe without me. I know one of these days they'll find me. This time, I won't run away. I'm already tired of running away. I believe I have already done everything as the protector.
