Don't kill me guys 😭

Vaishnavi couldn't believe her eyes because of what happened. One of the best Archers in the world, couldn't string a bow. The son of Lord Surya himself, has lost this Swayamwar. Clearly nobody would win this, except for one person, and the future girl is so not willing for it to happen. Karn went back to his seat, without any regret. Duryodhan looked at him with disbelief as his friend calmly sat down near him.
Draupadi sighed in relief, as she saw how the only warrior who could rival Arjun, has lost. She held onto Vaishnavi, whose mind had totally stopped working now, and said, "Ishu! I hope I get married to Arjun! Please tell! I will marry him right?".
Vaishnavi looked at her hardly having any words left in her heart. The bad omen since the morning, and the bad feeling she was having, just got tenfolded now. Just then, a prince stood up and argued, "This is not done! No one is unable to lift the bow only! And if one did, he was unable to string it! This doesn't seem fair!". Another prince spoke, "It seems like directed towards one person! We don't accept this!". And another one chimed in, "This way, no one will be able to marry your daughter, King Drupad!".
Like this, slowly all princes present there started to go on ranting about how bad of an idea it was. Drupad has had enough and stood up, "Everyone! If no one is able to even lift a bow, how are you guys expecting me to give my daughter in your hands! Is there no one else who could win this Swayamwar!". Yudisthir and his brothers were keenly watching the whole drama happening and Yudisthir was somewhere not really fond of how Drupad was talking.
As nobody came forward, Drupad was disheartened at how incompetent the men in the Aryavart were, and also he was expecting Arjun to show up. He scoffed and said in a bitter tone, "Wow! At the end, nobody is worthy enough for my daughter! All princes here are such a waste of time and energy for me and my daughter!".
This really triggered Yudisthir, as he was openly insulting every other warrior, while his own brother could win this with ease. But, only Drupad knew how tensed he was about his daughter's future. Krishna looked at him and closed his eyes, before speaking, "Maharaj! If a Kshatriya is unable to do anything, only a Brahman could do with his brains!", making Vaishnavi look at Krishna with disbelief.
Draupadi held Vaishnavi's hands and said, "Ishwari! Tell me! I will be able to marry Prince Arjun, right! I want to hear it from your mouth! Please tell me!". Vaishnavi, with tears in her eyes, looked at Krishna for support, but for some reason, the god himself was avoiding the eye contact with her! Her stomach dropped down at the sight of her brother avoiding her, but suddenly something came to her mind, which gave her a reality check.
'What is written, will happen!'
There it was! She finally came in terms with reality! The reality of what is about to happen, is inevitable! Unavoidable! Her heart had become stone cold in that moment. With a blank expression on her face, she said, "You will! You will marry Arjun!", making Draupadi smiled from ear to ear. But, somewhere, inside her head, she still believed that he would stand by his promise. Somewhere.
Drupad understood the assignment and announced, "As no Prince was unable to win my daughter, Brahmans can also Participate!", resulting in Yudisthir making a decision.
"Arjun! Go win the princess!"
Arjun was stunned as his brother just ordered him to do something, which he would have never imagined. Bheem and Nakul were too shocked at the statement. Arjun said, "B- Bhratashree! You are joking, right?", hoping for him to say yes. But alas, how wrong he was.
Yudisthir looked at his brother with a frown, "What, Joke? I'm serious Arjun!". Bheem intervened him, "Bhratashree! What are you saying? You don't understand what you are ordering him to do!". Nakul also joined, "Yes Bhratashree! Why are you ordering my brother to do something unimaginable!". Yudisthir shook his head and said, "I'm very clear about what I am saying now! Arjun!", he looked at his Archer brother, who was shocked would be an understatement. Nakul and Bheem were shocked as well as in why their brother is behaving like this.
Yudisthir shook his brother, who came out of his trance, "Arjun!". Shreiking, Arjun replied with an empty head, "Yes, Bhratashree! I did not understand what you told me to do! C- Can you please repeat that!". He hoped that his brother would say something else, really different from what he heard, and was praying to a million gods a million times.
Yudisthir closed his eyes in frustration, and said calmly by keeping his hand on his brother's shoulder, "Arjun! I order you to win this Swayamwar and the Princess! And I clearly know what I'm asking for!". That's it. Arjun's world seemed to break down in front of him. His mind wasn't processing anything, as it is only filled with the love of his life. His eyes forgot what tears were, as they were refusing to break down, unable to accept what was happening.
With a blank expression on his face, he said, "You are more than god to me, Bhratashree! I will win this Swayamwar!", and proceeded to walk to the stage.
The poor girl from future was watching what was happening in front of her with a blank expression. The last hope she had in her heart was broken into pieces. The man she loved with all her heart, the man to whom she gave her heart and soul, the man with whom she got married, is walking towards the aisle to make someone else as his wife. She was sure that he would win, because that's him. Even for pretence, he would never lose anything. Be it a game or be it in life.
The Archer saw his wife looking at him with a cold expression, which was screaming betrayal. His heart was bleeding at the sight in front of him, she turned her head away from him. He immediately wanted to go back, but then, he saw his elder brother's face, which was full of confidence that his brother would win. Arjun had two of difficult choices in front of him. And he decided what he thought to be the best for everyone.
He bowed down to the bow, lifted it with ease and proceeded to string it successfully. Bheem couldn't tolerate the nonsense happening in front of him and asked his elder brother, "Bhratashree! Why did you do this? Even after knowing every-", but he trailed off, having realised something. Nakul came forward too, "Yes Jyesth Bhrata! Why-", but was stopped by Bheem. Nakul looked at him for an explanation, which he did, "Nakul, he doesn't know! Infact, he never knew!".
Nakul looked at him shocked and then realised that Yudisthir never knew about Arjun and Vaishnavi. It's just him, Bheem and Sahadev. He was cursing himself at his head, at how he never cared to tell him about his brother and his best friend being in love with each other. Bheem shook his head at Nakul with tears brimming down his eyes. Nakul wanted to say something, but was cut off by Bheem again, "And it's already too late! Only if we realised a little early, Nakul! Only a little early!". Looking at Bheem with a defeated expression, Nakul, now breaking down, went back unable to witness what was about to happen.
As soon as Arjun string the bow, Draupadi's face lit up like a Thousand watts bulb, where as, the future girl's face was flushed out of any blood, looking really pale. For some reason, she was really tired and just wanted to sleep, and never wanted to wake up from it.
Looking at his beloved wife, who most probably has lost any faith in him, he shot five arrows without even caring to look up at the target. Those arrows straight went and hit her heart, but this time, it was bleeding of only pain and betrayal. That day, she was sure as anything that she would never forget in her whole life. She saw her Husband, her everything, not only breaking her promise, but also breaking her heart, deliberately.
Arjun won the Swayamvar.
