(TW: Verbal Abus3 DONT READ IF YOU GET TRIGGERED)

Clementine had to go home at around 8am so she was getting ready to leave,

"Bye guys, I have to go before my mom gets suspicious." Clemmie said putting her backpack onto her back.

They said their goodbyes and she left.

She stopped by the forest to think for a while,

"I wonder what would've happened if I didn't meet them, would everything be the same?" Clemmie said to herself.

She collected flowers and stuffed them into her bag she quickly admired the nature around her then set off to the path to her house.

When she arrived, her mother was already there, she came back too late. Worried, she snuck into the window.

She could hear her mother's footsteps louder and louder till she was standing in front of her.

"Clementine, where have you been?" She exclaimed.

"To the pharmacy..." She said practically sweating.

"Very funny. You can't be in the pharmacy all night. I came home early yesterday since I was feeling quite ill. Liar." She said not even looking at her.

"I'm so sorry mother please-" Before she finished the sentence a hard slap was thrown across her face.

She started to cry her cheek red, "I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU CONSTANTLY DEGRADING ME... I'M BARELY HOLDING ON AND YOU BEING HERE IS NOT HELPING." Clementine shouted; she couldn't take her mother's behavior anymore.

The argument went back and forth, with her mother getting louder and louder.

"Why did you have a daughter only to treat her like she needs to be perfect, why can't you just be my mom?" Clementine said with tears streaming down her face like a waterfall.

"Your useless. I can't believe I had a daughter like you." Her mother said with no remorse at all.

Her words hurt like swords like her whole life just shattered like glass. She loved her but she couldn't take it, she was merely 15 and was treated like garbage.

"I'm going to leave before I say more things I will regret."

Her mother left out the house, probably going to her boyfriend.

She sat in her room for hours on end sobbing her heart out till her eyes were numb and red she took a shaky deep breath and wiped her tears away and tried to smile.

"I hate this so much, sometimes I wish I wasn't born." Clementine muttered.

She needed to be comforted; the only person she knew that could do that was Cole. She left to go bringing her coat and lantern.

When she arrived, she went inside looking absolutely fine.

"Hey Cole!" She exclaimed happily even if she knew she was hurting deep down.

"Do you wanna hang out at the hayfields?"  Cole asked, she agreed and as soon as they arrived and as soon as she dropped her bag down, she started sobbing her tears flowing.

"Clementine? Uh are-are you ok? Why are you crying?" he said hurriedly walking to her as she fell to the floor onto her knees,

"I-I'm sorry I couldn't help myself." She said crying in between,

He didn't know what to do since he never could deal with emotions not even his own, so he hugged her as she cried on his back.

A few minutes later she caught her breath and stopped crying as she was sitting next to him on hay bells.

"I'm sorry Cole my mom got really mad at me and said some... hurtful things." She said fiddling with her dress. Not looking at Cole.

"It's okay Clemmie, I'm here for you." Cole said smiling looking at her.

She giggled "thanks".

She fell asleep onto his lap as he held her head up. He watched the sunset with her in his arms.
