Over the next few days, Taehyung and the boys had been engulfed in a whirlwind of meetings and missions, often returning home with bloodstains marking their suits and exhaustion etched into their faces. The nights were long and the days were fraught with peril. Meanwhile, Lisa had been experiencing frequent bouts of vomiting, leaving Jennie increasingly concerned.

One morning, Jennie woke up earlier than Taehyung, unable to sleep due to her worries. She decided to take a shower, hoping the warm water would ease her mind. After her shower, she returned to the bedroom to find Taehyung still asleep. He came home really late last night. She climbed into bed and gently sat on him, shaking him awake.

Taehyung groaned softly, his eyes fluttering open to the sight of Jennie. He smiled sleepily and pulled her into a warm embrace, enjoying the rare moment of peace. They kissed, savoring the connection between them. Jennie, her worries momentarily forgotten, began to get serious, but Taehyung stopped her gently.

"Darling, I'm really busy today," he said apologetically, his voice laced with regret. "I can't do this right now."

Jennie pouted, her disappointment evident. "You’re always busy these days tae."

"I know," Taehyung sighed, pulling her into another hug. "I’m sorry my love."

She hugged him back, resting her head on his chest. They kissed again, a soft, lingering kiss that conveyed all the unspoken words between them. Taehyung then began to get dressed, slipping into his suit with practiced ease.

"Help me with my tie?" he asked, handing her the tie as he lit a cigarette.

Jennie nodded, taking the tie and deftly tying it around his neck. As she worked, she voiced her concerns. "I'm worried about Lisa."

Taehyung frowned, his attention fully on her. "Why? What's going on?"

"She's been throwing up a lot," Jennie explained, tightening the knot of the tie. "I think she needs to see a doctor. At first we thought she was probably just a little sick. But rosé insisted it was not normal for her to throw up so much everyday."

"May we go to the doctor with her, love?" She asked.

Taehyung nodded thoughtfully. "Okay, you can take her to the doctor, but you'll take guards with you."

Jennie agreed, understanding the need for caution. "Of course."

Taehyung took a final puff on his cigarette before stubbing it out. Jennie finished adjusting his suit, then snuggled into his chest once more. Taehyung held her waist, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.

"Take care of yourself too, darling." he murmured.

"I will," she promised, looking up at him with a small smile.

Taehyung reached in his pocket pulling out a shiny black card. Jennie arched an eyebrow. "Here baby. Take it and buy whatever you want. Maybe it'll cheer you up." He said trying to hand it to Jennie. Instead she took the card and shoved it right back into his pocket. "No tae I don't want money." She said.

Taehyung was about to say something but realized Jennie was stubborn. She wasn't a gold digger she couldn't give two shits about money. She didn't want money. She wanted to spend time with him. But she couldn't right now and she'd just accept it. "Alright." He stated.

With one last lingering kiss, Taehyung and the boys left the mansion. The house was quiet, with Mina and Mingyu still sleeping peacefully in their rooms. There was no reason to wake them early and disturb their rest.

Jennie watched Taehyung leave, a mixture of pride and worry swirling within her. She then turned her attention to the day ahead, her resolve strengthening. Today, she would take Lisa to the doctor and hopefully get some answers. She was determined to protect her friends and family, just as Taehyung and the boys protected them all.
