The gang was still at the office, an imposing and luxurious building that doubled as their operational headquarters. This wasn't just any office space; each of the boys had their own office, and Jisoo had her own space as well since she was the most involved in the business side of things among the girls. But beneath this façade of normalcy lay a dark secret: a vast underground network of rooms designed for holding, torturing, and disposing of those who wronged them. It was a harsh reminder of the brutal reality of the mafia.
Despite their empathetic and polite demeanor, the gang was known for their ruthlessness when necessary. They had become a deadly combination of kindness and psychopathy, showing compassion to their own while showing no mercy to their enemies.
In the meeting room, the boys waited patiently, their minds focused on the task at hand. The girls, after comforting Lisa, were now upstairs in Jisoo's office. Lisa was still visibly shaken from the revelations about her parents, but her friends' support helped her hold it together. Meanwhile, Mina stayed with the boys in the meeting room, her presence a small beacon of innocence in a world of darkness.
Mingyu had stepped out to use the bathroom, leaving Mina to entertain herself. Curiosity got the better of her, and she asked the boys what they had been talking about while she was engrossed in her iPad. Taehyung, always quick to protect the young, reassured her with a gentle smile. "Just boring adult stuff, sweetheart. Nothing for you to worry about."
"But how much longer do we have to stay at your house?" Mina asked innocently. "I miss my toys."
The boys exchanged somber glances. They knew the painful truth that Mina's father was gone and that Mingyu would have to tell her eventually. For now, they couldn't bear to shatter her innocent world. Jungkook leaned forward, his tone playful to mask the sadness. "You don't like our house? Is it ugly or something?"
Mina giggled, shaking her head. "No, it looks like a castle. I just miss my daddy."
Their faces softened at her innocence. "You'll go home soon, darling." Jungkook lied gently, knowing it was kinder to preserve her innocence for a little while longer.
A guard entered the room, informing them that the Manobans would arrive soon. Taehyung nodded, his demeanor shifting to that of a leader. "Bring something to entertain the kids. " he instructed. "Only while while we handle the Manobans."
The guard nodded and led Mina away to prepare the room. As she left, the boys prepared themselves mentally for what was to come. The tension in the room was palpable, each of them acutely aware of the stakes. They had faced countless adversaries before, but this time felt different. This time there were so many connections. So many issues and Confusions.
Meanwhile, in Jisoo's office, the girls were trying to comfort Lisa, who was still reeling from the devastating news about her parents. Jennie held Lisa's hand, her voice soothing. "We'll get through this, Lisa. You're not alone."
Lisa nodded, tears still in her eyes. "I just can't believe they did that to me," she whispered. "How could they?"
"Some people are just evil," Jisoo said bluntly. "But we're going to make sure you never have to deal with that again."
Rosé, always the voice of reason, added, "We'll take care of you, Lisa. You're one of us now."
Lisa managed a small smile, feeling a bit of comfort from her friends' words. She knew they meant it. They had already done so much for her, more than her own family ever had.
Back in the meeting room, the boys were discussing their strategy for the upcoming confrontation with the Manobans. "We need to make it clear that we won't tolerate any more threats to our family," Yoongi said, his tone icy.
