The night was still and quiet, with only the soft hum of the ceiling fan and the faint sounds of the city in the distance. Jungkook was in his room, the glow of the television screen illuminating his features as he played a new game with Mingyu. The two of them had been engrossed in the game for hours, laughing and bantering back and forth as they competed against each other. But now, Mingyu was starting to yawn more frequently, his eyes growing heavy.

Jungkook noticed and paused the game, turning to look at the younger boy. "You’re getting tired, huh?" he asked with a small smile.

Mingyu nodded, rubbing his eyes sleepily. "Yeah, I think I’m going to head to bed."

Jungkook ruffled Mingyu’s hair affectionately, causing the younger boy to pout playfully. "Alright, go get some rest. We can finish this game tomorrow."

Mingyu smiled, grateful for Jungkook’s understanding. He got up and stretched, then made his way to the door. "Goodnight, Hyung," he said softly before leaving the room.

"Goodnight, Mingyu," Jungkook replied, watching him go before turning back to his room. He sighed, feeling a bit of the tension from the day slip away as he began his own nighttime routine. He stripped off his shirt, revealing his toned chest And his arms which were adorned with intricate tattoos, the designs a mix of meaningful symbols and abstract art that held significance to him. His piercings—small studs and rings—were carefully removed, as they tended to be uncomfortable to sleep in.

After getting comfortable, Jungkook settled into his bed, scrolling aimlessly through his phone. It was a rare moment of peace, something he cherished in the often chaotic life they led. His thoughts began to drift as he considered getting some sleep when he was jolted out of his reverie by a sudden knock on the door.

It was late—5 a.m., to be exact. The time when most of the household was still asleep, except for Taehyung, who sometimes wandered the house or garden after one of his nightmares. But usually, Taehyung would just go outside to clear his mind, and he was sure none of the boys went on any sort of missions. If they did they'd change and go straight to bed always being too tired.

Alarm bells rang in Jungkook’s mind as he grabbed the gun he kept nearby, his instincts taking over. Holding the weapon tightly, he approached the door cautiously and opened it, his muscles tensed and ready for anything.

But instead of danger, he was greeted by the familiar face of Taehyung, looking a bit weary but otherwise calm. Jungkook exhaled in relief, a nervous laugh escaping his lips as he lowered the gun. "Hyung, you scared me for a second," he said, shaking his head as he set the gun down. "I thought something was wrong."

Taehyung offered a small smile, though there was a heaviness in his eyes that didn’t go unnoticed. "Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you," he said, stepping inside the room. Jungkook closed the door behind him, his concern growing as he noticed the serious expression on Taehyung’s face.

"Is everything okay hyung? Did you have another nightmare?" Jungkook asked, his voice gentle.

Taehyung shook his head, taking a deep breath. "No, it’s not that. I just needed to talk to you about something important. It’s about Lisa."

Jungkook’s expression softened with understanding. He knew that Lisa had been going through a lot recently, and the situation with her pregnancy had weighed heavily on all of them. "What’s going on?" he asked, his tone filled with concern.

Taehyung looked at Jungkook, his gaze steady but laced with a hint of regret. "Tomorrow is her abortion appointment," he said quietly. "And none of us are free to go with her."

Jungkook’s brow furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean? Can’t one of the girls go with her?"

Taehyung sighed, running a hand through his hair. "That’s the problem. All the boys, including me, have missions tomorrow. The girls have to go to the office to handle business and documents. We tried to rearrange things, but there’s no other way. You’re the only one staying home for training."
