Juliet's POV

Every moment feels like I am being babysat. Ivan is always around 24x7 sometimes with my father, Annalisa and Diego. Ivan is always in my sight, and frankly, I wouldn't have it any other way. His presence just makes me feel like everything is perfect. In the last one week, my body has healed considerably, just a few more days and my ribs will be back to normal.

"He is being too obvious" Calix says rolling his eyes and pointing at the glass door. I give him a smile and look at Ivan behind the door, sitting on the couch cleaning his gun but his eyes are on mine. Even though I am sitting alone with Calix in the garden, Ivan always has me in his sight. I give Ivan a little wink which causes him to relax a bit.

"If I didn't know any better then I would say that you like having a personal bodyguard" he shakes his head and passes me the glass of juice that Ivan sent via the maid. I know that we only have ten minutes at max before Ivan comes barging outside. He never leaves me anywhere out of his reach for more than half an hour.

"How's everything?" I ask Calix as I take a sip of my juice.

He looks hesitantly at me. I know he is still shaken up by the attack on me. It was only after I woke up that Diego informed him about it and he was here within hours. But too much time has been wasted and it is time to finally start finishing up the loose ends. He releases a deep sigh.

"Your boyfriend threatened me with a gun if I told you anything...he wants you to focus on your health" he says and I can't help but look at Ivan again. His eyes are blazing and I can feel the emotions radiating from him, making me give him a large smile.

What did I ever do to deserve this man?

"But I am your Donna" I tell Calix noticing that Ivan is getting impatient. Calix looks at me and shifts a little before speaking.

"Ivan knows where Gabriel is...he has known it since you woke up" he whispers, "the man has a literal army of millions at command. He has them hidden all around the world. Seriously, I would be shocked if he can't overtake every single mafia within a week". I am a little shocked by this...I know Ivan is much stronger than what we thought the Russian mafia to be. He is like a Trojan horse with hidden weapons to attack when necessary. "He is keeping a close eye on him for now. Right now, all he wants is to be here with you...I offered to end Gabriel's life myself but he denied it. He wants to do it himself" he finishes.

I know this was about to come up. I can only imagine what Ivan must be feeling when it comes to Gabriel. I already stopped him from killing Gabriel before but I don't think even I can do that. I wish I put the bullet in that bastard's face instead of his leg. What a fucking coward.

This is my fight and it is on me to finish it.

"But it is our war" I remind him.

"Tell your boyfriend that" he says looking back at Ivan. Ivan is already standing up, tucking his gun in his holster and I watch as his shirt opens a bit on the top revealing his silver cross dangling against his dark tattoos. I thank God every day for creating this masterpiece. 

"Are you keeping an eye on the tracker?" I ask him a little faster because Ivan is already on his way out.

"Yes...our team is looking around to make sure the location is correct. But I think this time it's her...we have Charlotte's location" he says. I open my mouth to say something more but then I see Ivan walking out the glass door. I forget about everything as I watch him stroll towards me with the morning sun gleaming on his skin.

He doesn't say a word and just stands tall beside me. I look up at him with hooded eyes and watch him gulp. God, I have never been this horny in my life.
