...…Present Day…...You stand outside the massive Blue Lock facility, hands in your pockets as you let out a low whistle.
“Damn,” you mutter to yourself, eyes scanning the towering structure.
Even back in your old world, this place looked expensive on screen—but seeing it up close? It was on a whole other level. Steel, glass, tech—every inch of it screamed money. And now you were about to walk right into the center of it.
You stroll toward the entrance, spotting a familiar figure ahead. Ego.
A playful smirk curls at your lips.
Perfect opportunity. You tiptoe toward him, creeping up from behind like a cat ready to pounce.
But just as you're about to strike—
“Stop being a child and come to me like a man.”
You groan, shoulders slumping in defeat.
“You’re no fun, Ego-san.”He doesn’t even glance back.
“And you’re still clinging to that same childish habit of scaring people. Some things never change.”You catch up to him, hands still in your pockets.
“Because it is funny. You should try having a sense of humor sometime.”He hums
“...No”You flash him a sly look.
“Someday, I will catch you off guard. I want to see that ‘cold genius’ mask crack at least once.”“Your invisibility trick doesn't work on me.” He throws you a smirk.
“My instincts are sharper than most animals.”You narrow your eyes.
“Still not sure if that’s a compliment or an insult.”He ignores your sarcasm and pulls something out of his pocket—a neatly folded map.
“Here. Floor plans. Memorize them before you get lost like a headless chicken.”
You unfold it and blink.
“Five separate buildings? Labeled V, W, X, Y, Z?”“Exactly.” Ego nods, hands tucked behind his back.
“Each group will be assigned to one of them. We won’t tell the players what the letters mean—at least not yet.”You nod slowly, taking in the structure.
He starts walking again, and you follow him inside. The moment you step through the doors, you feel like you’ve entered a sci-fi film set.
Everywhere you look—LED lights, sleek metal walls, cutting-edge tech, floor-to-ceiling monitors. Sofas. Consoles. Tactical desks. It’s like a lab built for chaos and greatness.
“Wow...” you mumble under your breath. “They weren’t joking about funding.”
Ego gestures toward a chair in his personal control room, sliding into his own with ease.
“Sit. We’ve got work to do.”
You collapse into the chair dramatically, arms dangling.
“What kind of work?”He clicks through several files on his monitor.
“Anri’s out delivering letters to the selected candidates. We officially start this weekend. Until then, you’re gonna learn every corner of this system, understand the selection process, and memorize the philosophy behind Blue Lock.”
You scratch your head and groan.
“Translation: I’m your intern until the chaos begins.”“Exactly.”
