Ego's speech ended, and the monitor went dark.

You stood there, silent, surrounded by the other players.

Their stares burned into your skin—but you ignored them.
A lot of them wanted to talk to you first. You could feel it.
But now wasn’t the time.

One by one, the players left the hall.
Except for one.

A tall boy with white hair.
He hadn’t taken his eyes off you since the moment he walked in.
And you… hadn’t stopped looking at him either.

Something in your chest tightened.

Your eyes softened, your body wanted to move forward, to say something—anything.
But your feet stayed rooted.
You didn’t have the courage.

Because right in front of you…
Was Seishiro.
Your younger brother.

You opened your mouth, trying to break the silence,
but the words caught in your throat like a stone.
It hurt. Bad.

He started walking.
At first, his steps were slow. Hesitant.
But they picked up—faster, stronger, heavier.

His bangs shadowed his eyes.
His hands were clenched so tight the veins bulged.
His jaw was locked. You could see how tense it was even from where you stood.

And then… he was right in front of you.

You looked up at him.
He was taller now.
That made you smile—but not the happy kind.
It was the kind that stung.

You hadn’t been there to watch him grow.

The silence between you two was suffocating.
Not calm. Not peaceful.
Suffocating.

The only sound was his breathing—shaky, ragged.
His eyes scanned your face.
Those same golden eyes, that same face he saw in the mirror.
The same calm and collected expression he used to look up to.

He was so close now he could smell that familiar, soft scent of coffee clinging to your clothes.
The scent he’d always associated with you.
The one that used to soothe him.

Now it made him sick.

He hated that smell.
He hated that you didn’t tell him you were here.
He hated that you never came to see him.

He hated that you didn’t even send a simple message.
Just a "Hey Seishiro, I’m here too" would’ve been enough.
He hated that you… always kept him in the dark.

The silence grew heavier.

He bit down on his lip, hard. His chest still ached.

And finally… he spoke.

"Why didn’t you tell me you were here?"

Your breath caught.

"Why didn’t you come to me?"

You blinked.

"Why didn’t you say anything, Yoshiro?!"

He yelled your name—loud.
It echoed through the empty hall.

His voice cracked. His eyes stung.
"You're my brother… Why didn’t you tell me anything?"

Then, finally, he looked you in the eye.

His eyes shimmered—not with anger.
Not with surprise.

But with pain.

You were his older brother.
Everything he knew, everything he admired—he learned from you.
