Teruza’s voice boomed from the commentary box, barely able to contain his excitement.

"Only 15 minutes left in the first half—can you believe it?! Who would've guessed it’d turn out like this?! One to one! This game’s gone off the rails in the best way!"

The whistle blew. The match restarted.

Center field. Tension thick. Two brothers face-to-face.

Rin Itoshi stood in front of Sae, eyes narrowed, jaw clenched. His voice cut through the air like a blade.

"Hey... y'know it’s been, what, thirty minutes since kickoff?"

"Don’t you think it’s about time you said hello—"

His lips curled into a bitter smirk.

"—you bastard of a brother?"

Sae didn’t say a word. Not a blink. Not a twitch. Just that cold, unreadable stare.

But Rin didn’t flinch.

His voice dropped lower, sharper.

"This game… it ain’t yours."

And then—he lunged.

Eyes blazing, he closed the gap and went for the ball at Sae’s feet.

"It’s mine— Mine to finally leave you behind!"

But Sae moved like liquid silver.

Smooth.
Effortless.
Untouchable.

In a blink, he dribbled around Rin—his movements so fast they left afterimages behind. A fake to the left. A flick to the right. A ghost step.

Rin’s eyes widened—but only for a second.

Then—bam!

He twisted his body, threw out his arm like a wall, and slammed it between Sae and the ball. His foot snapped forward, catching the ball clean.

Sae’s eyes… just slightly widened. A twitch of surprise.

The little brother had read him. Matched him. Stopped him.

For the first time in the match, the Itoshi brothers were really playing.

Sae didn’t back off.

He stayed ice-cold, even as Rin pressed in. The two clashed in tight space, shoulder to shoulder, fighting for control of the ball—like it was a war neither could afford to lose.

From Sae’s left, Kento Cho’s voice cut through the chaos:

“Sae-kun! I’m open—send it this way!”

At the same time, on Rin’s flank, Isagi called out:

“Rin! I got you—trust me!”

But Rin’s expression darkened.

A vein popped on his forehead, and his teeth clenched so hard it looked like his jaw might crack. He snapped his head toward Isagi and shouted:

"Yo, Isagi — shut the hell up and stay outta this."

He gritted his teeth, voice low and sharp.

"This ain’t your fight. Don’t butt in where you don’t belong."
