JASMINE'S POV
I'm losing my mind here, what the hell did I hear that I shouldn't have heard? Urrrgh..... I'm freaking out here.
How in the world of misfortunes did Connor get my diary?, this is insane, I don't remember leaving it around carelessly, how did I take a diary with me to a darn party?. I mean who does that?
Definitely you, Stupid.
"Jasmine" I felt a tap on my shoulder and jolted back to reality.
"Huh?" I stared at Rosie who looked concerned.
"Is something wrong? You've been glaring at the wall for a while now, do you hate the color or something?" She asked and I sighed deeply.
Do I tell her about Connor?, well he did also threaten me not to tell anyone else, I swear I'm going to kill Connor Payne if it's the last thing I do.
Stop trying to sound like a badass.
"And she's glaring at the wall again"
She said catching my attention again."Rosie do you remember me taking my diary to that party?" I asked and she furrowed her brows in thought.
"Well you said something about not writing an entry and you needed to write it before losing details of the event, but...." She trailed off tapping her chin with her index finger.
But what Rosie?... I stared at her intently waiting for her to continue.
"I don't remember you taking it along"
"Oh" I said frowning, then how did my diary end up in Connor's hands.
I could feel my fingers itching to pull my hair out in frustration any second from now."Did you lose your diary?" She asked and my heart skipped a beat.
"Uh, no, yeah, maybe." I blurted out and she had a look of horror on my face.
"You lost it? Oh my God, imagine someone going through it and reading every single entry you've written down. Hey! Didn't you wrote about Mr.Goldie?" She asked with wide eyes referring to mom's goldfish.
Damn it! I'm doomed. Finished. Ended .
Don't be so dramatic.
"Or what if someone is going through all your fears, your fantasies, oh no... Your crush" She whispered the last part.
"You're not helping Rosie " I groaned out .
"But are you sure it's lost?, Maybe you kept it somewhere else and forgot where you kept it. It happens to me sometimes." She said and I threw her a knowing look "Ok maybe it happens to me all the time" She said with a pout, then I fell backward on the bed and took a pillow placing it on my face before groaning into it.
"You shouldn't worry too much, I'm sure it's around here somewhere or maybe you left it in your locker at school" I kept groaning into the pillow.
No Rosie, my poor diary is in Connor's hands. Not at school, Not at home, or even in the trash bin. Of all places it had to be in Connor's freaking hands.
"Kids it's time for dinner" Mom called from downstairs and I could hear a stampede run past my door.
"I call dibs on the chicken" That should be Jaxon.
"Hey! You can't have all the chicken" That's Jason.
"Stay away from the lasagna if you're having all the chicken" I heard Jake say.
"I knew I should have glued you greedy people to your beds" Definitely Jeremy.
"Hey!" Everyone yelled at him, and then I could hear them heading downstairs.
I sat up on the bed and turned to look at Rosie who was laughing and rolling around on my floor.
"Care to tell me why you're laughing?"
"That... That was so funny" She said wiping off tiny droplets of tears at the corner of her eyes.
"Well we should better head downstairs because it wouldn't be funny when they finish dinner and all you can see is chicken bones and empty plates " I said getting off the bed and we both headed downstairs.
I walked to the dining table and sat down, I don't know why I turned to my left but there sat Connor with a devilish smirk, and I scowled at him.
"Who invited him?" I blurted out still scowling.
"I did" I heard Jake say across the table and I turned to scowl at him.
"I think you should smile" Connor whispered from beside me.
"Don't talk to me" I was livid with anger and my poor chicken just kept getting stabbed repeatedly.
"Someone seems to be in an awfully good mood" He said sarcastically.
"Gee... I wonder why" I replied drily still stabbing the poor chicken.
Dinner went well, and by well I meant Connor was unbearable and I just kept thinking of ways to end him and throw his body under the table without anyone noticing which we know is as impossible as me trying to split the Pacific ocean in two.
Rosie went home after dinner and she kept trying to cheer me up before she left, I feel terrible for not telling her about everything that's been going on between Connor and I but I'll make sure to tell her as soon as i collect my diary from the douche bag.
"Don't you have a home to go to?" I glared at Connor as he sat lazily on the sofa with Jake beside him.
"Do you have a problem with Connor around?" Jake asked and I scowled at him.
"Yes Jake, I really do"
"Sorry sis, that's not my problem but yours, go lock yourself upstairs or something." Jake replied with a smirk and Connor joined him in smirking at me.
How the hell do I get this nut job out of my house?
"Well Jasmine I read a book today and you wouldn't believe what I found out" He said smirking and I really wish the sofa could fold up and swallow him or something.
"Don't you dare!"
"Bro, you read a book? An actual book?" Jake looked surprised.
"This one is really fun to read"
I really wanted to scream stop reading my diary but I can't.
The thing is, Jake doesn't know that I went to that party he and Connor attended which was how Connor was able to get a hold on my diary. This is so complicated.
With one last glare at Connor I marched up the stairs and got into my room then grumpily sat on the bed.
He said he read something in my diary, it's been three days! Three freaking days since he's been with my diary I wonder how much he's read.
I really need a plan to get my diary back.
"I'm exhausted" I said to myself as I fell into the bed on my back.
