The eight members of the rookie hip-hop group were sitting on chairs in front of a long table overlooking the venue hall. In just a few minutes, fans were going to flood the place, meet the members, get them to sign their albums, and even talk to each of them. Basically, it was a fansign.
The members were very excited—probably even more so than their own fans were to meet them—as their album had been released not long ago, and they really wanted to hear ARMY's thoughts on it.
The door of the hall flung open, fans rushing in, as the hosts and managers attempted to get them to stand in a single file. After about five minutes of failed attempts, the managers finally managed to get the fans together in a long, single line. The line of people began moving excitedly towards the table, each fan barely getting half a minute to talk to each of the members.
The members smiled their best smiles, and eagerly greeted their fans; their hands ready to sign the album, while their eyes twinkled with the love they had for ARMYs. On some occasions, one or the other fan skipped a member, but the group simply smiled through the pain. They were used to it at this point.
But the member who was skipped the most again was the female one. Although, in her defence, she said that more fans had walked up to her than the last time. So she was happy with the improvement. She believed that for every moment when she got skipped by a fan, there was always a moment with a fan who loved and adored Arin as equally as the boys.
"Unnie! Oh my god, I can't believe I'm finally meeting you! Will you sign my album?" asked an excited fan.
Arin grinned. "Of course, that's what you're here for, aren't you? Did you listen to the whole album?"
The fan nodded her head cheerily. "Of course, I did! 'Dark & Wild' is really good! There's so many songs, and all of them are so good that I can't choose a favourite one. I really hope you win a music show this time, you deserve it."
Arin smiled. The album was made with the collective effort of all the members. After all, producing a studio album wasn't a piece of cake. "I'm glad you love it! Really. Your support means so much to us, to me," Arin handed back the signed album to its owner. "Go on now, get it signed by the others. I love you~"
The fan squealed before moving on to Namjoon. Another fan occupied the space in front of Arin. She seemed like a nine year old fan, accompanied by her mother, who held her up in her arms so the little girl could see the idols sitting behind the table.
The girl handed a drawing of hers to the female idol in front of her shyly. It was a drawing of the group; stick figures made with crayons and coloured in. Arin recognized her stick figure by the long red hair and eyelashes the girl had drawn for her. On top of the group was written, 'I Love BTS!', alongside a purple heart drawn and coloured in. Arin could feel herself tear up a bit.
Looking at her idol and realising she had tears in her eyes, the little girl furrowed her eyebrows, a small pout visible on her lips, and asked her mother, "Mommy, does unnie not like it? Why isn't she saying anything?"
Arin heard this and her eyes widened. She didn't mean to upset the child. "No, no, dear, I love it so much. Your drawing is really good, you know?...Thank you so much."
The child's eyes widened in surprise, as if to ask 'Really?!'. "Mommy, mommy, did you hear Luna unnie? She said she likes my drawing," the girl informed her mother, though she had already heard it from Arin herself. Arin chuckled at her little fan's actions.
"Can I...touch you?" the little girl asked cautiously. Arin nodded before intertwining her soft fingers with the girl's tiny ones and swaying their hands. The girl let out an excited shriek.
