When Arin woke up the next day, the first thing she saw was her parents sitting beside her bed. They looked at her when they noticed her stirring awake from sleep.

Her mother's eyes were puffy and red, indicating that she had been crying. She hugged Arin, being careful not to hurt her daughter. Her mother held her close, and showered her face with kisses.

Her father sat next to the weeping mother with a look of pain in his eyes. He was very clearly holding back his tears, and when he saw how pale and wounded his daughter was, it pained him even more. But he kept his emotionless face on—he had to stay strong for his wife and daughter.

Arin's mother sat on the edge of the bed. She spoke to Arin, her voice shaking, "Oh my baby...my sweet baby...I'm so sorry we weren't there to protect you."

Arin didn't speak but she shook her head at her mother's words to say that she should not feel guilty for what happened. It wasn't anyone's fault, and definitely not her parents.

Her father slowly sat on the other side of the bed, and carefully took one of her hands, lightly caressing it. He was afraid to hurt her, because he didn't want to touch her wounded areas and cause more pain. But he wanted to stay close to his daughter and give her all his love and support.

He whispered, "Arin-ah...I am so sorry this happened to you. The boys told us everything. It breaks my heart to see you in this much pain. But I promise you, I will stay by your side and support you. You are strong, my dear. You will get through this, okay? I promise you that."

Arin looked at her father with tears in her eyes, and simply nodded. She was still too weak to properly speak. Her parents stayed close to her and kept talking with her, making sure to reassure her how much they cared and loved her and that they would stay by her side. They held her hands all the time, and even though they didn't want to see their daughter like this, they knew their presence was needed there and that they had to stay strong for her.

While in the room with her parents, Arin didn't say much. She kept her attention on her parents, but she did ponder about what the boys were doing outside the room. Her parents were busy talking to her, but they suddenly fell silent when they heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" Arin's mother said to whoever was knocking on the door. When the door opened, the seven boys peeked inside. They sat down on chairs around the bed, and gave polite nods and greetings to Arin's parents.

They all stared at Arin. Seeing her parents and her wounded state was difficult, but they knew they had to stay strong and be there for her as much as possible. Yoongi was the only one who wasn't looking at her, but at her parents. He still felt guilty, and felt he didn't deserve to look at her or talk to her after everything that happened.

Everyone was a bit awkward at first, but then Arin's mom broke the silence, "I remember seeing you all here yesterday." She smiled at the boys, but the pain in her smile was visible.

"Yes, we were," Namjoon responded curtly.

Arin cleared her throat to ask. "Mom. You were here yesterday? Why didn't you visit me then?"

"You were already sleeping by the time we reached the hospital yesterday," her mom replied.

Arin sighed. Then remembering something suddenly, she asked, "Just...how bad is it? The damage?"

Everyone in the room tensed up at Arin's question. The nurse had told them about her condition yesterday, and...it wasn't good, to say the least.

Arin's father inhaled deeply, and answered honestly, "You have many bruises and cuts. Some of your nerve endings were slightly damaged, and the tissues in your vagina have some tears. Don't worry though, the tears and cuts have been stitched up. But the nurse said that you'll feel soreness and pain in your hip and genital area, but you'll recover from all of that as long as you rest and take your medicine which will help reduce the pain. The doctor said you'll be healthy again...in a couple of months."

Arin felt her stomach twist into a knot after hearing this. She felt so weak and humiliated hearing how much she was wounded in front of everyone. "A couple of months?! No, no, no, we can't wait that long! We have to prepare for our comeback and—and I can't just be sitting here and recovering," she said, voicing her concerns.

Hearing this, everyone's eyes widened in disbelief. They couldn't believe she was worrying about the group's comeback right now.

Arin's mother shook her head and said firmly, "No, stop that nonsense right now! Your health and recovery comes first. You can't even walk properly right now, how can you think about performing?!"

Arin frowned at her parent's words. She knew they were right, but she also didn't want to admit it. She hated being restricted and told that she couldn't work. She absolutely hated sitting around and doing nothing. It was driving her insane already! Wanting to resist this decision, she spoke up, "But the boys—"

Her father silenced her quickly, not wanting to hear her protest about the comeback now. "The boys will just have to perform without you for a while. It's too risky for you to dance right now. You'll get more injured or the stitches will break. You'll only make it worse. I'll talk to Sihyuk-ssi to not let you perform."

"No, absolutely not!" Arin protested, shaking her head and gripping onto the bed sheets tightly. She tried pleading with her eyes and even pouted, hoping to convince her parents.

All the boys watched in silence, observing the conversation carefully. They felt awful for her, seeing how much she wanted to perform and prepare for their comeback. Of course, they cared for her more than anything and her health was more important for them, but they also felt so bad witnessing the sad expression on her face and hearing her resistance.

Her father was worried and didn't want her to worsen her injury, so he didn't want to give in to her protest. "I don't want to hear anything else. You will not perform until you recover! Do you understand, dear? You're not going to argue with me on this."

Arin knew she wouldn't win this argument, but that didn't mean she was satisfied with this. She wanted to refute her parents, but she knew it was pointless. They wouldn't let her. So she leaned back against the pillow and just laid there, sulking and thinking about their comeback and how she wouldn't be able to perform. What would ARMYs think of her? That she was a lazy member who didn't want to perform? Probably.

Her mother saw the sad look on her daughter's face, and felt so bad for her. She wanted to comfort her, so she patted her head and spoke softly, "My baby, don't worry about it. This is only a temporary setback, okay? You will perform with the boys again once you recover."

Her mother's comforting words did help a bit, but still, Arin was just so frustrated. She was extremely worried that the public would start speculating so many bad things about her and that they would think she was abandoning the band. She spoke up in a frustrated tone, "What if ARMYs starts speculating about me, or they think I'm abandoning the group?"

Her mother understood what she was worried about, and tried to comfort her, "Oh, my baby, don't worry. I'm sure your fans will be very understanding. After all, you are wounded pretty badly. They'll just be wondering if you're alright and maybe send you some flowers or a card to wish you to get well soon. I'm sure nothing bad will come out of this. If you want, we can arrange a meeting with Bang-nim to discuss all these details, okay?"

Arin nodded in response to her mother's question. That was a good idea, and having a meeting with Bang PD was necessary to discuss about her current situation and what to make of it.

Her mother patted her arm comfortingly, easing her nerves a bit. "Alright, I will set the meeting up. But don't you worry your little head any more! Just focus on healing, sweetie."

Arin managed to bring a small smile onto her face, and nodded in response. She knew worrying too much wouldn't help anyone. And so, she spent the rest of the day talking to her parents and the boys, who would support her every step of the way.
