Bondita didn't give herself time to wonder about more of her destructive thoughts and indulged herself into the household works she missed for days. She managed to call Satyajeet and inform him about them reaching safely and she asked worriedly about Aarav 's silence.
Satyajeet informed her that he had been like that for months. He hasn't spoken a word since his mother died. Satyajeet tried everything and the doctors said that he must have the trauma of losing his only birth parent . Even though Saudamini was a terrible mother the boy loved her from his core.
She felt a sharp pang in her chest, wondering the similarities between the father and son. They both loved her deeply and she failed to understand the depth every time. Suddenly Bondita felt a burning sensation in her chest. It felt physical but it was just her jealousy.
She put aside those thoughts again and focused on Aarav 's problems. Right now she has to bring her entire focus on him. She has to sort out every problem of his on her own. She can't tell the family members right away that he is a part of this family and knowing where he came from her kaka sasurji might never accept him. She wanted him to mix up in this family, gain love from every family member so even after knowing his truth they will all take him with open arms. And also she wanted to give the boy every possible joy he deserved, at least till the time she was here. She doesn't want Aarav to go through the things she did. Even if society is a lot tough on a girl child but boys go through hardships too which the world fails to recognize.
She talked for some more time , trying to know about his likings . She almost realized that the boy didn't have much choices regarding his likings . He always buried his nose in his books given by grand father , stayed silent all the time , didn't have friends to play , the only liking he had was kheer and he couldn't tolerate spice .
She shook her head with tiniest sad lift of her lips .
jaisa baap waisa beta .
she immediately went to prepare for kheer and other items per his father's likings hoping that would please the little boy . Within the matter of few hours the dinner was prepared . She was glad that Batuk had Aarav occupied so he would not get bored . Everyone came to the dining table one by one . Anirudh sat down and pulled the chair beside him hoping Bondita would sit but Bondita made Aarav sit there . Anirudh stared at her and as for now she was giving him the same lifeless smile . He sighed and suddenly felt eyes on him , looking down he met with little Aarav's eyes which were looking up at him with both curiosity and ...he couldn't describe the feeling .
He smiled and ruffled his hair when the boy shied away but he leaned in to say something in the ear .
" aunty accha khaana banati hai , waise tumhaari mumma jitna accha nahi par itna accha to banaegi hi ki tum ungliyan chaat doge . waise batana mat usse maine yeh kaha hai " he said teasingly but something was off with him as he didn't reacted and he stilled for a second too .
" coco milk " Batuk screamed excitedly.
" tumhaare liye nahi hai " Bondita warned making his all excitement going down .
" sharam kar sharam kar nalayak ...shaadi ki umar ho gayi hai teri aur abhi bhi kuko doodh pita hai nalayak . tujhse chote ladkon ke toh bacche bhi ho chuke hai aur kuchka bada vyaapar bas chuka hai . aur aap mahashay teen saal se ek hi kaksha mein hai , padhai ke naam par sirf aawaragardi karte hue . " Trilochan never leave an oppurtunity for a sarcastic remark.
" han toh kya ho gaya maine 'kuko doodh ' maang liya . shaadi to aap meri karwa nahi rahe . bacche kye nariyal ke ped se tod ke laaun main . aur vyaapar ki baat to aap kahiye hi mat . mahine ke 10 rupey bhi nahi dete dhang se kharch karne ko vyaapar kya mein bhik maang ke karunga . baccha to aap mujhe samajhte hein hi to baccho jaisi harkatein kyun na karun main . mardon wala kaam dijiye banjaunga mard " he rolled his eyes and threw the food in his mouth .
