" yeh mathur ka baccha ..ek baar mil jaaye mujhe isske saare daant na tod dun to mera naam Bondita nahi " She cursed over the file and continued to verbally harass the idiot .
" Bondita " he took her name in a warning tone and hid his smile behind the file as she looked cute while frustrated . Anirudh knew she'll be bored in the room alone so he decided to continue his pending work from the court here in his room with her . She was currently typing on the type writer to create a document for his client who was kind of on off customer for him . And he was too fed up with making his file and throwing it all away .
" kya ...maine kya kiya ? " she whined like a kid .
" kaam pe dhyaan do . aur yeh bacchon ki tarah nakhre karna band karo . wo file khatam karte hi aur bhi files hai . sab khatam karte hi khana milega warna bhooki rehna "
" ek to bimaar biwi se kaam kara rahen hai upar se hukum to dekho ...rakhsas babu . " She grumbled under her breath feeling irritated .
" kya kaha tumne ? "
" kuch nahi "
Anirudh clearly heard the new nickname his dearest wife given him this time . He was having hard time to control his laughter and maintain his strict teacher position . Every time he warned her for something she makes up a cute face with her nose scrunched and complains about everything . He mumbles something to her then gets out of the room . She sighs heavily and lean up to the bed rest feeling tired . Thank god the painkillers were absolute miracle for her . She was not feeling any pain but her body was obviously tired . Her bleeding was still heavy and she still feel irritated but there was no pain and she was grateful for that .
Minutes later she heard his footsteps and then he appeared with fruits on a plate . She looked at him bewildered . He came and sat in front of her in the bed taking the type writer off the small desk he started cutting those fruits . She sat there with her messed up mind thinking he was the same man who told her she can't eat until she finishes her work and now he was cutting fruits for her . Either she is going crazy or it is all happening in the next life .
He finish up cutting an apple and put one slice in her mouth not even looking at her . " jaldi fruits wagera khatam karo ...kuch der baad koeli khichdi banakar laayegi "
" par ...apne hi to kaha ..ki kaam khatam karne ke baad " she was really puzzled .
" tum konsa meri har baat maanti ho jo yeh baat maanli . mujhe tumhaari koi bakwaas nahi sun ni chup chap fruits khao aur kaam par lago lunch aane tak fir lunch ke baad dawai leni hai . fir rest karna mujhe kuch kaam ke silsile mein bahar jana hai . " he continues to cut several fruits again without looking at her . But occasionally sneaking a glance at her whether she was eating or not .
She ate silently without complaining further but observed his actions . He seemed to be relaxed rather than stiff like before . His face had a different glow , eyes had strange softness in them . He takes his suit hanging from the chair and fixes his hair seeing in the mirror while humming .Her eyes widen in horror to watch him humming . He did not have a smile but still he was not being stoic like earlier . Bondita was watching him with pure astonishment because he wasn't behaving like himself at all and very much behaving like himself at the same time . She was so confused that she couldn't even believe if she's truly living in the reality or it's just an illusion .
" main shaam tak ajaunga ..ho saka to jaldi . " He gestured her to finish off the fruits and complete the work . He went outside leaving her with her jumbled thoughts .
After few minutes Koeli came in her room with plate full of food rather than just khichdi . It contained her favorite rice , tadke waali dal , paneer curry and a bowl full of favorite roshogulla .
