" m-mini.. Mini aisa mat karo mini. Mujhe aise chodke c-chodke mat jao please... Please " he begged. But she didn't listen. She took out her every expensive jewelries and sarees and pushed in her suitcase ignoring his pleas.

He wandered behind her forth and back , clung to her as if she'll disappear. But she ignored him like he wasn't even there ...like he never existed. She locked the suitcase with a click sound and made her way towards the door . This was the last string of his hope and he desperately held on to it.

He fell down on his knees and hugged her legs. She tried to push him off with all her strength but he didn't bulge. Tears flowing down on his face as he buried it in her saree. " I love you mini.... Please........ please mujhe chod ke mat jao m-main kh-khud nahi jaanta main kya kar baithunga...  Main m-main mar jaunga mini.... Main mar jaunga "

" TO MAR JAO " she shouted pushing him all at once. His hands hands fell down .his body went cold and numb. She pushed him aside and went out of the door. And she never came back. Not even glanced at his direction.

he just watched her .

He tightened the knot on the rope making sure it's not loose. Then he put it on his neck, standing up on the small stool which was placed on his bed. He was sure that the ceiling fan could bear his weight for at least fifteen minutes and that would be enough.

Just one step.  Just one step. He need to take that one step to be free. Just one step, a little pain then he would be free.

He stood on his heels, tightening his grip around the rope. He took a deep long breath and released it. It was going to be  his last breath. He closed his eyes to feel how it feels to welcome death. How it feels to finally let go all of the pain , all of the memories which is haunting him for days .

A noise echoed in his room and it wasn't the stool falling down. He opened his eyes in panic fearing if someone saw him .

His mother stood there with hand on her mouth and horror in her eyes. She saw her son welcoming death. She saw her son using his own hands to kill himself. she was going to witness how his son was committing suicide .

He panicked seeing her. He threw the rope out of his neck and jumped down from his bed. It was too late .....but it was too late .

He saw his mother's hand going to her chest. She ran away from there. Anirudh chased her. With each step the pain grew in her chest. He shouted for her but she didn't listen. Her soul died the moment he tightened the knot. She was too heartbroken to hear any word, too scared.

She missed a step on the stairs for a second  , and lost her beat..... For forever.

" MAA "

Anirudh awoke with a start, his body drenched in a cold sweat. His eyes shot open, wide and unseeing for a moment as he desperately tried to shake off the lingering tendrils of the nightmare that had held him captive just moments before . the only sound was the steady rhythm of his own ragged breathing.

His heart pounded in his chest, the echoes of the dream still reverberating through his mind like a haunting melody. It was a curse to him , he was a curse on himself that'll live with him to haunt him forever . He could never forgive himself for what he did to his mother .  Every breath he took reminded him that it cost his mother's life .

Anirudh sat on the edge of the bed, his hands trembling as he tried to steady his breathing. He ran a hand through his tousled hair, feeling the dampness at his temples. The dream was slipping away, elusive fragments fading like mist upon waking, but the emotions it had stirred lingered like an unsettling aftertaste.
