" Bondita " Somnath stood outside of her room and called her . Swati had called him and told every thing that happened in the day and how she was careless about her health . She didn't justify the slap as she was guilty for what she did but it was also true that Swati got mad because of her carelessness . And the slap was needed . Somnath never needed to understand what or why Swati did . Not that because he loves her ...it's the fact that how she loves Bondita .
" ji Som dada aap ? itni raat ko ? kuch kaam tha kya ? " She asked formally .
" hmm bohot bada kaam tha jo tum karna bhul gayi "
" kya dada ? mujhe boliye main abhi kar deti hun ... pata nahi kya hogaya hai mujhe " she muttered and was about to get out of her room when Som held her by shoulders and lightly pushed back in her room and made her sit on her bed . Mean while he took the stool from her dressing table and sat in front of her .
She looked at him puzzled .
" jo sabse bada kaam karna tum bhul gayi ho ...wo hai dawai " He spoke taking out the medicines from pocket . " Bondita ....ghar aate hi kaamon mein itna ulajh gayi ki yeh tak yaad nahi raha badan bukhar mein kap raha hai "
She lowered her eyes in embarrassment .
He took out pills and poured water in a glass and handed it to her silently . She took it without any fuss and kept her head down not looking at him . Som touched her forehead to check her temperature and it was warm . Her fever was not that bad now .
" tumhaari dost ne bataya tum kal baarish mein bheegi thi iss liye subah tej bukhar tha . aur tumhara bukhar utra nahi tha thik se tum kaam par bhi chali gayi . Ghar aate hi ek minute ki bhi fursat nahi di khud ko ki kaam par lag gayi . Bondita ....hamein paap chadhaane ka iraada hai tumhaara ? " He asked softly .
She clenched shut her eyes as tears threatened to fall .
Somnath pinched her chin causing her to look up . " kya tumhaari dost galat thi ? tumhe nahi lagta tumhaare aasuon se ab bohot se logon ko takleef hoti hai ? tumhe nahi lagta ki tumhaari ek muskaan ke liye kai log bina palak jhapkaye baithe hain ? tumhe nahi lagta tumhaare bina iss ghar mein kisi ko roshogulla bhi kadwe karele jaisa lagta hai ? tumhe nahi lagta tumhaari choti choti shararaton ne iss ghar mein khushiyan bikhair di hai ? tumhe nahi lagta tumhaare jaane se Batuk akela pad gaya hai ki ab woh kaka ko pareshaan nahi karta ? tumhe nahi lagta ...main akela pad gaya hun kyunki mujhe mere patients ki chugli karne ke liye mere paas koi nahi hai ... mere boring treatments aur scientific terms sun ne ke liye koi nahi hai ? kaka ki bahu nahi hai yahan Bihaari ki burai sun ne ke liye ya unke gadhon ko sudhaarne ke liye ? " He wiped her non stop flowing tears and spoke a sentence that made her heart skip for a moment .
" dada ki Bondita nahi hai ...unka dimaag khaane ke liye . "
She couldn't look at him ...no she couldn't . The tears made it impossible but ..still she couldn't look at him .
" Bondita .....maine kabhi socha bhi nahi tha main kisi aurat se ye shabd kahunga kyunki dada ki tarah maine bhi umeed kho di thi ki kabhi koi aurat iss haweli ko ghar bana degi . Lekin aaj main kehta hun ...tum iss ghar ki khushiyon ki chaabi ho ... yeh sach hai Bondita solah aane sach . " he said with sincerity making her eyes go round in wonder . " hum sab tumse aise jud gayein hai jaise mitti judi hui hoti hai ped ki jadon se . Agar koi ped ko mitti se alag kardega to ped jinda rahega kya ? ya agar mitti hi sukh jayegi to ped jinda rahega ? "
Somnath gazed in her eyes wich looked perfectly glassy with unshed tears as she listened to him . His heart broke seeing this girl suffer so much after giving everyone happiness . " Bondita ...tum iss ghar ki woh adhuri khwaish ho jo kisiko pata bhi nahi tha ki aise bhi puri ho sakti hai , aur kisi pata bhi nahi hamein ek aisi khwaish ki jaroorat bhi thi . "
