Chapter 6 • "You must be Tilly."

Tilly's POV

The knock at the door startled me even though I saw Rosie and Ashton walking towards the house. I must have been daydreaming or overthinking as usual. Michael dashes to open it.

"Hey Michael." Ashton said as he walked in, hugging Michael.

"You must be Tilly." He greeted me as he walked through to the kitchen.

"Yes. That's me." I replied with a light laugh.

"Hiya Tilly." Rosie said with a smile as she came into Michael's living room.

"Hey." I smiled back.

"So, Tilly how'd you like it here in California?" Ashton asked.

"It's nice. I really like my new house and it's a lot nicer than my old one." I told him.

"That's good to hear. Rosie has told me all she knows about you." he said smiling at her.

"Oh, has she? What has she said?" I laughed lightly looking over to Rosie.

"All good things, she said you are good at drawing, you like math-" Ashton was interrupted by a second knock at the door and in walked Calum.

"Grace is coming, she's taking forever to get out of the car." he said whilst entering the room.

"I'm here I'm here I'm here." Grace said running into the house almost tripping over.

"Hey guys." she spoke.

"When's pizza because I'm really hungry and I don't think I can wait anymore." Grace laughed obviously very hungry and a big lover of pizza.

"When Luke gets here. So it could be a while." Michael said.

"So what do you guys plan to do with this band tonight?" Rosie questioned.

"Uh... we plan to practice and maybe record something." Michael replied for all of them.

"Awesome I can't wait to hear and you have to be good because this is Tilly's first listening to your music and skills." Rosie said and I just laughed. "They're really good." She whispered.

The third knock at the door tonight and Michael went to answer but Ashton got there before him.

"Hey buddy." Ashton said loudly to who must be Luke.

"Hey Ash." Luke said excitedly. "Ready to do this, I haven't seen you in ages."

"Long time no see but still my little brother." I heard Ashton say as they came into the room where everyone was.

"Hey guys." Luke spoke.

"Can we order pizza now." Grace pleaded.

"Well hello to you too Grace." Luke said sarcastically and then he went quiet when he spotted me on the other side of the room.

"Yeah yeah whatever." she said to Luke. "Michael come on let's go order this amazing food." and with that we all went through to the living room.

"So as I was saying Tilly I have heard some cool stuff about you." Ashton finished.

"Shall we go and set up?" Calum said to Luke and Ashton. They got up and left the room taking everything the needed with them and so then me and Rosie remained sitting on the sofa.

She smiled at me softly, "I'm still worried about Luke and why he is so upset when we are all together because he seems fine as you saw around Ashton. I don't like it when people are upset or secretive."

"Yeah, it puzzles me and this might sound crazy or stupid but I thought it might be something to do with me." I had to tell someone this is how I felt and I thought Rosie was the right person.
