Chapter 32 • "They're not coming."

Tilly's POV

When we get inside Michael's I can see no one else except Michael, Calum and Ashton which makes me wonder where everyone else is.

"Luke where are the others?" I whisper.

"They're not coming." He replies. "Give us two seconds."

My heart begins to beat faster and faster and I'm anxious to know what is going on here. I turn around and look at the front door ready to just run out of it until my name is called by Luke.

"Tilly can you come here a second?" He shouts.

I slowly follow where his voice is coming from and surprisingly it leads to Michael's garage. As soon as I enter the room the beautiful sound of their instruments fills the space.

"Life is a tangled web of cell phone calls and hashtags I don't knows." Luke begins. I don't recognise this song from before.

"And you are so caught up in all the blinking lights and dial tones." He continues.

"I admit I'm a bit of a victim in the world wide system to, but I found my sweet escape when I'm alone with you."

For the whole duration of the song I stare deeply into Luke's eyes and our eyes become fixed upon each other's. The song was beautiful, amazing, indescribable and I think written for me.

Nobody said anything. Michael, Calum and Ashton all waited for Luke to be the first to speak and so did I.

"What do you think?" He asks.

"One question..." I reply.

"Sure..."

"Who is it about?" I ask nervously.

"I wrote it for.. Um.. You."

"Give me a second." I say walking out into Michael's living room.

I lean against a blank wall and think about what just happened. Untalented is something that boy isn't. I'm so happy right now but I'm in shock, in shock because someone has never done anything like this for me before.

After 5 minutes Luke walks in and only Luke.

"Hey." He says softly.

"Hey." I reply turning my head and looking at him.

"You okay?" He stands in front of me.

"Yeah a little shocked and overwhelmed but I'm very good thank you. Thank you for doing that, it might not seem like it but it means a lot."

"You mean a lot to me." He says and I smile but look away. "You have to trust me when I say that."

"I know and I'm learning."

"Take as long as you need but know that I'll be right here every step of the way. Okay?"

"Okay." I smile and Luke takes the opportunity of silence to kiss me.

That's one of the things I really like about Luke, he likes to show how much he loves someone. It's just me accepting it is the real big problem.

Luke picks me up and carried me to the sofa placing me on his lap as he sits down.

Not long after Michael, Calum and Ashton come and join me and Luke.

"Does anyone want lunch?" Michael asks.

"No thank you, me and Tilly are going out for food soon."

"We are?"

"Yes." He smiles. What else does he have up his sleeve for today.
