Tilly's POV

The next morning I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock ringing endlessly.

Great, day one of hell I thought. Although as I sat up I was reminded of how perfect this house was by just looking around and appreciating my beautiful room.

I dragged myself out of bed after a long day yesterday and went downstairs to get breakfast. Mum had been shopping yesterday and got me my favourite cereal Frosties.

I quickly poured and ate a bowl of them as I realised it was already 7 O'clock and I hadn't picked out an outfit, done my hair and makeup or packed me bag for school.

Within no time they were gone an I ran upstairs to pick an outfit for the day ahead of me.

The struggles of choosing something to wear. I never really used to care about first impressions however I've come to realise they're quite important and if I wanted to make friends today I would need to look somewhat decent.

I must have tried at least 10 different outfits on before deciding on wearing my black skinny jeans and a plain white top.

Makeup now. I went with the subtile look today as I didn't want to over do it on my first day.

Simply putting my hair in a messy bun then shoving whatever I thought I needed into a bag I had recently found I headed down the stairs and out the front door to the bus stop around the corner.

Nobody.

There was nobody around except for those who could drive. Of course there wasn't it was 8 am. Who wants to be getting the bus this time in the morning?

Minutes later the bus arrived and I walked on only to find there were no seats.

Great. The bus smelt old and looked it too. Since this was the public bus there were quite a few elderly people on the bus and I assumed they must have been traveling into town. That didn't help the fact that this journey was half an hour and there was no one my age to talk to.

People gradually got off and more seats then became available so I took the nearest one I could find. Half an hour passed fairly quickly and I made my way through the crowd to the front of the bus. I was hoping it was obvious where I had to get off this shabby old bus and it thankfully was. Clearly labelled a sign for my new school directed me exactly to the place I didn't want to be. I passed a coffee shop on the way and grabbed one so that was a bonus to this dreadful place. Not that the school itself was bad, I just didn't enjoy my last school.

My new school, The University of California was very impressive. Huge brick buildings stood in front of me. Trees and hedges placed in formation all around the school. Light stone paths line the floors leading to every door of this campus.

When I spot the near to one hundred steps I had to sigh but I just got on with it. I was going to have to do it everyday anyway.

I was the new kid and had never been before so I had no idea what was going to happen today.

I made my way through the double doors on my right and went to find the chancellors office like I had been told to.

As I wandered through the halls not having a clue where I was going and no one to ask I finished up my coffee and spotted the sign marked 'Chancellor Of UCLA'. I knocked on the door twice and patiently waited, something I wasn't good at being. Within seconds it was opened and I was being lead in to this huge office which was quite different and more comfortable than the office at my school in New York.

"Hi, I'm here to see the Chancellor, I'm the new girl." I spoke to his assistant.

"Come in, take a seat and I'll go get him." she said as I made myself comfortable on a chair in front of his desk.

A couple of minutes later a average size man entered the room wearing a black suit and tie carrying a folder. He walked over to the desk to sit down in front of me and dismissed his assistant.

"Hello, Miss Wilson." he spoke gently.

"Hi, I'm very excited to be here." I lie. This is school who wants to be here. Although I was good at school and doing my homework I didn't like it at all. I was quite intelligent and paid attention in class, I just didn't like being watched and judged at school.

"All you have to do is full out this form and then you can make your way to class." he concluded and sat in silence while I filled out the form he had handed to me on a clipboard.

I felt like I was being watched and studied so I answered all the necessary boxes quickly and handed it back to him.

"Thank you, here's your schedule of your classes, have a good day."

I thanked him and rushed out the office doors to find my first class that I had missed ten minutes of already. My first class was Math, a subject i was quite okay at so I wasn't too nervous.

I opened the door and all eyes turned in me. This couldn't get any more awkward.

I hand my teacher a note that the head gave me and sat in the only empty seat which was in the back corner next to a guy with blonde hair and green/blue coloured eyes.

The rest of lesson went quite fast. I had learned that the guy I sat next to was called Michael and he was very cute and such a nice person.

I rushed out of class and to my next one down the hall.

Michael was standing there too with a group of his friends. I didn't walk over there because we had only just met and he was with other people.

I walked in and waited for everybody to sit down before I could take my seat. I sat next to a girl with brown hair, blue eyes and wearing black rimmed glasses.

History was boring as I had already learnt the stuff being taught but me and Rosie got along so well and i thought she was really funny. She invited me along to meet her friends that lunch which was fun and made this day a lot easier for me.

Before I knew it the school day was over and I was heading back to the bus stop.

I heard my name being called from behind me and as I turned around it was Michael.

"Hey Tilly."

"Hey." I quietly replied because I barely knew him.

"Do you get the bus?" He questioned

"Yeah, I'd rather not but i have no choice at the moment. " I replied

"Oh, do you want me to drive you?"

No I couldn't. Could I?

"No, its okay." I feel bad now but I've only just met him today.

"Okay, well see you tomorrow." he said as he walked to his car.

I wait for the bus to come which is not long and show my pass with the worst photo of my in the history of all photos. I get a seat this time and then the half an hour begins again. Plugging my headphones in all I can think about is how much I must learn to drive.

I was very tired when I got in and mum wasn't home. Having no clue how to work anything in the house like the TV I went straight to bed after having showered and eaten dinner.
